Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Bathroom Tissue, 2-Ply Sheets, 500-Sheet Rolls (Pack of 48) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]

Customer Review: A small painless step to help the environment
Summary: 5 Stars

If you want fuzzy soft toilet paper, these may not be for you, but I find the texture and quality to be just fine. The fuzzy soft brands create lots of paper dust in the bathroom; these don't.When comparing the cost of these rolls to others, be sure to note that these are 500-sheet rolls -- so you're getting two-thirds more sheets than in a 300-sheet roll.

So, why not help out the environment by using a brand that doesn't send chlorine bleach into the rivers when they make their paper?

Customer Review: Good alternative but...
Summary: 3 Stars

The best alternative would be to not use paper at all.. why you people can't just go to the bathtub and clean there with a bit of water and soap.. That's a lot more environment friendly and actually you end up clean.. when you use paper you actually are not cleaning you are just removing the waste. Or do you clean your hands with just paper? I don't think so. If you really want to clean (kill bacterial) you need to get use to wash with water and soap. Two great advantages:

1. You are actually saving the planet but not wasting paper (not even recycle paper)
2. Your butt will not stink anymore.

Customer Review: Not the 7th Gen product I'm used to buying retail
Summary: 1 Stars

This will teach me to ALWAYS read the reviews for even the simplest product. Turns out, this is not the same quality TP sold in 12-roll packages at the grocery store. This paper is "unquilted" and rough. Now I'm stuck with 48 rolls of abrasive toilet paper -- not the best situation after childbirth. Product description should be more specific to differentiate it from the other 2-ply TP offered by Seventh Gen. Very disappointed and won't be ordering again.

Customer Review: OH MY GOD!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This product changed my life. The comfort, the pleasure, the attention to detail. This is not toilet paper. This is God's gift to anuses everywhere. I love you.

Customer Review: Not a bad deal
Summary: 4 Stars

These aren't the softest toilet paper around, but with Subscribe & Save you're paying about a buck for each roll of 500 sheets. I don't have a car, so this is a very convenient way to get toilet paper. The 48 rolls come in a single big cardboard box that you can easily reuse for shipping or storage. Eco-friendliness is not my primary concern when it comes to toilet paper, but it's certainly a plus.

These are slightly abrasive, though not as bad as the dirt-cheap stuff my college's dorms bought. As another reviewer pointed out, Seventh Generation also makes a softer variety: Seventh Generation 400-Sheet Rolls (Pack of 48).
