Customer Review: Environmentally friendly, but not super-soft

I have come to use a lot of Seventh Generation products lately, this being one of them.
Plus:
- not packaged with plastic
- available in bulk
- chlorine free (chlorine is quite harmful to the environment)
Minus:
- it's far from the super-soft tissues I grew up with
No, it's not super-soft. It's not uncomfortable though, and you will quickly get used to it. I bought the 1-ply by mistake last time though, and it was horrible. It was way too thin and is a hassle to use. Stick with the 2-ply.

Some people might complain of the roughness of this toilet paper, but I think it's toilet paper, people, and you're just going to get poo on it. It is definitely softer than rest area toilet paper, but it's not going to be as soft as a luxury paper. I would compare this to Scott one-ply in terms of softness. It works just fine for my family and me. The best part is the fact that it's made from recycled material (why isn't all toilet paper?), which is exactly why I buy it. We have used it over the course of more than a year and have been very satisfied.Customer Review: Good to Great product, decent price

The rolls were smaller than I expected them to be because it's just not as fluffy as premium brands of toilet, but it is certainly soft enough and far, far more comfortable than cheaper, generic brands. Given how we're punishing our planet, I'm pleased to buy something I don't have to feel ashamed about. Plus, it's a little less expensive than what I've found locally. (which makes me feel guilty about not buying locally) But it's something I'll definitely order again. This is a great product once you get use to it - which isn't that big of a deal - but I wouldn't want to imply that it's the same as the fluffy stuff. We've been using it around our home for the past year. It helps keep the septic system clear, both from its being non-pollutant, and from its ability to break down thoroughly. I like that Amazon carries it in bulk and ships it to my door for free, especially since the box is huge and heavy. I'll gladly trade pampering myself unecessarily in the bathroom for not being so hard on the earth.Customer Review: Gas saving septic safe & soft enough!

We are first time owners of a country home on a septic system and needed to find the right toilet paper for both the septic system and our personal needs. This product does both. I adopted the auto-send option for a case of this Seventh Generation toilet paper which keeps us supplied and we don't have to think about it or hunt for sales and coupons. It is soft enough, all packaging is recyclable and if you are lucky enough to be able to store a case then I highly recommend this product and the auto-order option offered through Amazon.
