Customer Review: I used to love them.....
Summary: 2 Stars

Ok... I'd heard so many great things about these product and have been using them 4 over a year now. I was all 4 them, until this company wide... "reformulation" of sorts. I'll get into the others later, but about the diapers... The tabs don't stick like they used 2 (so the girls can strip them off easier now), not 2 mention the diapers don't absorb as well as they once did (which means no more overnight use for these). I've also found that here lately, they've been "shedding" the "absorbent" gel all over the babies' bottoms. (I could use P**pers if I wanted that!)

With two sets of twins, I can't afford to constantly carry/change "clothies," So, I bought these thinkin' "...help the environment, and not sacrifice convenience... that's awesome!" The local generic diapers are startin' to show more promise than these, which is sad cuz I'm a huge fan and advocate of natural/holistic health products.

What's really goin' on with this, 7th Gen??? They had something great, and because of some1's tinkering, a good thing has gone bad... Ppl, this is not worth the $42.99, nor your time. Find another healthy alternative while your pride (and wallet) are intact.

Customer Review: Wanted to love them, but...

Since cloth diapers were not a practical option for us, I really, really wanted to use this brand of disposables. I have a great deal of respect for Seventh Generation and use many of their products with 100% satisfaction, but, unfortunately, these diapers did not work for us.

Even though my (then) 2-year-old was well within the weight range for the size 4 diapers (she weighed about 28 lbs and they are supposed to fit up to 37 lbs) and they seemed to fit perfectly, we had SERIOUS issues with leaks - serious in the sense she would literally end up sitting/standing in a PUDDLE, despite being changed on a regular basis. This happened again and again until we exhausted our case of 120 diapers, at which point I could not bring myself to reorder.

The only way I found to prevent the issue with leaks was to change my 2-year-old more than the 5+ times we were already changing her each day. Given the environmental (not to mention financial) impact of doing so, I could not justify the continued use of these diapers. I sincerely wish we had had a better experience and will definitely continue using other Seventh Generation products, but not their diapers.

Customer Review: Pricey, but good diapers

I was quite happy with these diapers. We switched from Pampers when my daughter developed a strange rash that we couldn't clear up, thinking maybe it was the perfumes or coloring in the diapers that were irritating her - it wasn't, but I bought an entire case, so kept using till they were gone. I liked most of all that they were much less bulky than the Pampers - you can hardly tell she is wearing a diaper! They kept leaks in about 90% of the time, but if she had lots to drink in the evening then we had to change bedding every morning, so in that respect the Pampers seemed to hold more liquid. The tabs, waistband and legs were not as stretchy as Pampers, so the fit was a bit more snug and not quite as comfortable for her. They also do run small, so go bigger - my girl is tall and slim, so they were a bit short too - at 32 pounds the 22-37 range was a bit small - they worked, but the next size up would have been better. I am switching back only because her problems turned out to be food related, not diaper related, and these are just too expensive for my budget! If you can afford them, buy large and you should be quite happy with them!

Customer Review: disappointment

I have been using these diapers for my son, who is 14 weeks now pretty much since the beginning. He is a very big boy, 19 lb and he has very chunky thighs, and 7G size 3 diapers started leaking every single night, poop or pee does not matter. I don't have this problem during the day, only at night, since he sleeps for 7-9 hour stretches at night. So, I decided to go with bigger size based on some other reviews I have read. I just recieved my shipment from Amazon. The fit is better, which kind of sucks because bigger diapers are more expensive and my son should fit in size 3 up until he is 28 lb (weight range indicated on the package). The worst thing is that these new diapers have a HORRIBLE chemical smell. I already opened one package but I am going to return it and request a refund. Very unhappy with this. I was happy with the leakage protection, lack of fragrance, simplistic design and the fact that these diapers are not bleached up until now, but now the lack of overnight absorbency, poor fit and bad smell really turn me off. Too bad since I am a big fan of 7G products.

Customer Review: NOTE TO THE SELLER: very disappointed customer!!

First, I'd like to point out that I always used Seventh Generation diapers and wipes for over 4 years (first with my daughter and then with my twins). A few months back I noticed the diapers were no longer retaining the liquid as they usually did, and thinking it might have been a problem with sizing and/or fitting, I gave Earth's Best diapers a go. Given how well these worked, I stuck to these for a few months via Amazon. Just last week I decided to change back to Seventh Generation for a cost reason (they are slight cheaper). BIG MISTAKE!! After using just 4 diapers of the pack on the twins, I quickly came to the conclusion that the company must have changed something on the diaper that's clearly compromising its quality. The diapers completely came undone both times on both babies (hence, not a coincidence) and I woke up to find very unhappy and very messy babies. Not good. Just stopped my subscription and will never go back to it. Bye Bye, Seventh Generation. Earth's Best diapers and wipes take the win - who cares about the few dollars' difference!?
