Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Diapers, Stage 4 (22-37 Lbs.), 30 Count (Pack of 4)Customer Review: LOVE THEM Summary: 4 Stars
I think these are great diapers. Yes, they occasionally leak at night, but don't ALL diapers?? I have used both pampers and huggies in the past and they also leaked on occasion. It really happens rarely for me. I think they are just as good as anything else out there. They aren't quite as soft and form fitting as Pampers snugglers or cruisers, and they don't have that "powder" scent, and they are plain brown (which I love, but I know some people like that cutsy stuff). But my son had a lot of problems with diaper rash when I used the common diapers and pampers sensitive wipes. For my daughter, I now use these diapers and the SG chlorine free wipes and she only EVER gets a rash when daycare forgets to use her wipes and uses the "community" wipes instead. I utilize the subscribe and save plan and find it very convenient and economical. I think cotton diapers or g diapers are probably best for baby and the environment, but I think these are the best disposables around!
Customer Review: I really tried to love these, but just don't! Summary: 2 Stars
We have used Huggies regularly and Pampers a couple times. Our toddler has sensitive skin and I thought chlorine free would help and it didn't.
First off, these are quite a bit smaller compared to Huggies and they hold a lot less urine than Huggies. Our toddler is small for his age too, he's only 22lbs, and they leave elastic lines on his skin. They also feel squishy after he urinated, it grosses me out when they are sitting on your hip, ick! I could NOT use these overnight, he always had accidents. With the Huggies that is never a problem, maybe once a month. So I used these for daytime use until they were gone and regular Huggies at night.
I did like the soft material over the elastic band on the back and the elastic is super strong. If you wanted to be "green" I would suggest gDiapers and if your child needs sensitive I'd go with Huggies sensitive.
We will not be using these anymore.
Customer Review: Love the idea, BUT.... Summary: 2 Stars
I loved the idea of the more earth friendly diapers. The bottom line was they just didn't hold up on our 15 month old girl. We needed to change them almost after every time she peed (like cloth diapers) to keep her dry. We were back to using 8-9 diapers a day. She was constantly damp as the diaper didn't pull the moisture away like Huggies or even Pampers. Night time was horrible. She was sleeping through the night in Huggies, but would wake up around 3-4am soaked through if we put her in 7th Generation. The dampness these diapers left around her skin would make her skin red as well. I have also tried Earth's Best Chlorine Free Diapers and have had MUCH better results than these. I gave these diapers 2 stars for the idea of being earth friendly and zero stars for the execution of them. They are just terrible. I guess I'd take them over cloth diapers, but when compared to any other brand, they just don't measure up.
Customer Review: Great product, sizing a bit off Summary: 4 Stars
If the sizing were a bit closer, this would receive 5 stars from me. I believe them to be as good, if not better, than other commercial disposable diapers, with less of the guilt. When I say better, I mean more comfortable/stretchy, less diaper-rash, super absorbent (we make it through the night with a heavy wetter, no leaks), and definitely more earth friendly. I'm not sure if this is true, but I read that instead of the 300 years it takes for a regular disposable to biodegrade in a landfill, this diaper takes more like 30 years. Not great, but a nice alternative to a kid that out-wet and out-grew our expensive cloth diapers in no time. For a long torso child like ours the length of these diapers is nice also (helping to minimize blow-outs).
Also LOVE that Amazon offers these on Subscribe and Save at a greatly discounted rate. Even on sale, you can't get them this cheap at the stores near us.
Customer Review: Decent Summary: 4 Stars
The seventh generation diapers are okay. When my daughter was born, I used them for a while, they would leak all the time. Now that she's almost 2 now, they do not leak. I also use size 3 now, perhaps she got more fat in her body, so they do not leak. They give her no rash, but they do look ugly, and they are not very soft or wide. The elastics are not very long, which is not a problem for my thin little one, but it may be a problem for other babies. The diaper count decreases with a bigger size of the diapers, so longer elastics would be helpful, if the width is the other problem. They do not use chlorine but they are not extremely absorbent. My daughter's bottom was a little damn in the morning after wearing them all night long. Overall it is a fairly decent brand of diapers, the fact that they do not use clorine made me choose them over other convenient store brands. Way to go Seventh Generation!
