Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Diapers, Stage 2 (12-18 Lbs), 48-Count Packages (Pack of 4) (192 Diapers)Customer Review: Sharp Little Nubs - Updated Summary: 1 Stars
Updating my review:
I bought 1 package of stage 3 at my local store and it still had some hard bits in the waist band. So, I checked the 7th Gen website and they are having manufacturing issues. Their supplier is in the process of changing facilities and had some problems this summer. Their customer service rep told me that they recalled all the defective diapers for Amazon, so we should be getting only diapers that are squared away. I gave them the lot numbers of my defective diapers and they are sending me a refund check for the full price! Overall, excellent customer service on their end and I am back to buying them from Amazon. Their website also addresses the issue of the gel bits - if the diaper is too full, then the gel can leak through the material. I only have this problem in the mornings after the full night diaper. I started having leaks with the Stage 2 diapers, so moved up to the Stage 3 and have not had any problems.
I loved these diapers until my last two cases. I don't know what happened in manufacturing, but in one case the diapers were not sealed at the ends (bits of material sticking out the top) and this last case there are these hard and very sharp little nubs in the legs and waistband areas. I tried picking them out before the changes, but frankly, I'm sick of it. My son is now just too squirmy to lay still while mommy preps the diaper. Too bad because I really don't like any other diapers out there and really really like that these breakdown. Huggies leaves little gel bits all over him (although these were starting to leave gel bits also) and Pampers stinks to high heaven. Who thinks that a baby should smell like gaggingly sweet old lady perfume? Anyway, that's my two cents.

The chlorine-free materials and absorbent polymers used in the diapers help keep your baby dry in between changes and through the night. In addition to being effective at keeping baby dry and reducing the risk of diaper rash, studies show that the absorbent polymer used in the diapers is non-toxic and non-irritating to baby's sensitive skin. Hypo-allergenic and offering soft, cloth-like comfort and premium absorbency, these diapers are made of chlorine-free absorbent materials that do not contribute to dioxin pollution. They feature super-stretchy resealable closure tabs and super-stretchy leg gathers that work to provide your baby with a comfortable, safe, close-fitting thin diaper. Why Does Chlorine-Free Matter? Your choice of our chlorine free diapers could help reduce cancer rates. Your choice of chlorine-free diapers helps reduce the amount of dioxin polluting our air, water and soil, and helps make the world a safer, healthier place for your family and generations to come. When chlorine and chlorine derivatives are used in industrial processes (such as bleaching paper and wood pulp), they produce substances called chlorinated hydrocarbons, which persist in the environment, accumulate in animals and people, and can be toxic to human and environmental health. The production of chlorine can also release the toxic metal mercury into the environment. If every household in the U.S. replaced just one 40-count package of conventional diapers with these chlorine-free diapers, we could avoid 133,000 pounds of pollution from entering the environment. About Seventh Generation Seventh Generation offers a complete line of natural household products designed to work as well as their traditional counterparts, but use renewable, non-toxic, and phosphate-free ingredients as often as possible, and are never tested on animals. Seventh Generation products are healthy and safe for the air, the surfaces, the pets, and the people in your home--and for the environment outside of it. Every time you use Seventh Generation products you make a difference by saving natural resources, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment, and making the world a safer place for this and the next seven generations.
