Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Diapers, Stage 3 (16-28 Lbs), 40-Count Packages (Pack of 4) (160 Diapers)Customer Review: we like new design Summary: 5 Stars
I understand that other folks prefer the older design. We use a combination
of cloth diapers and paper diapers: paper for daycare and cloth for home.
Our daycare lady really likes the new design. Since she uses the paper diapers
the most, I take her word for it. I personally like the fact that
they are less bulky. We also used the old design, and have not noticed a
difference as far as how much the diapers hold. Granted, most of the time
our baby sleeps in cloth at night, but we occasionally put her in paper.
Folks looking for the older design diapers may be able to find those still in
retailers such as natural food stores that carry baby products. Our local one
still carries the older design, last time I checked. However, persons new to
Seventh Generation diapers should give the newly designed diapers a try. They
are more similar to something like Huggies in the way they fit and in their
bulk.
Customer Review: love these diapers Summary: 5 Stars
we love seventh generation diapers. the sizing seems to be a bit off, at least as far as our little one is concerned. as in, she grows out of them before she meets the maximum weight. she's sort of short and stocky, though, and understand it must be difficult for manufacturers to come up with a weight limit to put on diapers. they aren't as leak-proof as pampers, but once you get to know them, you can work around that. our daughters diapers only leak when they're full of pee, then she poops and there's pressure on the diaper (as in, she's in her bouncy or walker). once i see that she's pooped while in one of those things, i take her right out and change her. there's no waiting 10 minutes with these in this situation, as you could do with pampers (i use those as an example as they're the only other diapers we've consistently used). all in all, i love using these.
Customer Review: dipers' "improved" style ruined the quality of this product Summary: 3 Stars
My son is 2 years old, and we have used 7th generation dipers since his birth. We absolutely loved the old German style and wish it was still available on the market, even for a higher price. We agree with the other reviews listed here that Americans absolutely ruined product quality. It's such a shame. Not only the "improved" style is worse because it's like mainstream brands, it is very uncomfortable for the baby. My son complains that the dipers are hurting him, and now he has redness and scratches around his legs.
We are thinking we will stop using dipers overall for our older child because we started potty training, but we also have a one month old. So far we bought extra dipers with old design while they were available, but not sure what we will do after we run out.
Customer Review: Simply the best Summary: 5 Stars
We were very happy with the Seventh Generation stages 1 and 2, but after reading bad reviews about the new gel-version for stage 3, decided to try Tushies and TenderCare (both in medium size). Those were a complete disaster! Apart from bad leaks and stiffness, both have sticky tags which glue to poor baby' skin. We through both packs out and came back to Seventh Generation. The stage 3 was as great as stages 1 and 2 - soft, lightweight, breathable! And we did not notice any difference about the gel, so far we did not have any problems with it.
Having three different brands on hand, we compared their maximum absorbance: Tushes holded 2 cups, TenderCare - 4, and Seventh Generation - 5! And, by the way, out of these three, the Seventh Generation's ones were the thinnest.
Customer Review: I really wanted to like these Summary: 1 Stars
My wife and I purchased the STAGE 1 diapers and were very happy with them. We moved on to STAGE 2 when our son got bigger and they were a disaster. They leaked every time. Day and night. Not just a little. He was soaking wet each time. We switched to another brand and had no issues. More recently, we wanted to give these another shot and purchased the STAGE 3 diapers. Unfortuneately same results as STAGE 2. They leaked each time. We have a large amount of unused STAGE 2 and STAGE 3 diapers left. They are useless. I really wanted these to work. These seem to work for a lot of people; however there are a few reviewers who had the same results as we did. I suggest buying a small pack first to see if they work for you before investing in a large pack. Good luck.
