Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Diapers, Stage 3 (16-28 Lbs), 40-Count Packages (Pack of 4) (160 Diapers)Customer Review: Great diaper, but a rash... Summary: 3 Stars
I decied that with my fourth child I would use disposable diapers, vs the cloth we use for the other three. As soon as we started using these diapers she developed a rash, I couldn't figure it out and tried every cream or lotion know to man to get rid of it. I found that baby powder worked the best but still wouldn't make it go completly away. I finaly tried a different diaper and the rash cleared up instantly, and hasn't reapeared since. It is a great diaper, but my daughter had a sensitivity to it. (and it was the first time I heard of any one having an issue with this type of diaper) I would recomend only buying a small package first and then going the bulk diapers to see how your baby's bottom does first. :)
Customer Review: not bad... Summary: 3 Stars
i swapped at 8 months from pampers to these. i was a bit disapointed to learn that they also contain gel, as that is what i wanted to get away from. i like the inner lining, the gel doesnt come out as it does in the cruisers with the new fishnet lining. while the first diaper of the day no longer smells of amonia, i am having leakage issues that i never had before. it seems the leg elastic is a bit odd, maybe loose? they seem to run small, the size 3 seem very low rise on my 20lb son. i appreciate the lack of characters and the softness, but the absorption seems questionable. not sure what to do as i dont wan to go back to pampers, but feel badly for my son when there are leaks (and a barely wet diaper)...
Customer Review: Cost Cutting Redesign Summary: 3 Stars
The new design of these diapers has probably only improved the product's profit margin, not my baby's gluteal comfort and hygeine. We agree with the other reviews listed here: we miss the old style.
The new style is thinner, has leaked (the old ones never did for us), and now they leave little gel beads on the baby (like other, cheaper varieties) where the old style never did. Odor is also much more apparent when the baby is wet - the old style was much better at keeping smells in.
We were happy to pay the premium on the five-star-worthy older style, but we've been much less loyal now that they're so similar to other mainstream brands we can get at the local megamart.
Customer Review: Trying to leave only baby footprints... Summary: 5 Stars
I've been trying to find ways for our family to reduce its collective ecological footprint. As part of that effort, I finally decided to get on board with greener diapers. These Seventh Generation diapers did not disappoint. I have now gone through 5 packages and have not had a single diaper with a hard spot (as some others have experienced) and have had only one diaper tear at the side tab while I was trying to secure it. (I believe the tearing had just as much to do with a squirmy 10-month old as with the diaper, though!) The diapers seem to be as absorbent as the namebrand version we had been using, too. Yay!
Now, can anyone recommend better wipes that won't break the bank?
Customer Review: OMG!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
How did I ever go without these wonderful diapers?!?! After strugglin' with Huggies' leakage probs and Pampers' blowout issues... WHEW!! This diaper is a godsend. They hold sooooooo much more than name brand diapers. Not to mention they're environmentally sound. It sure beats trying to travel with cloth diapers! I'm so happy I found these. I wouldn't trade them for anything. I tell everyone about them. The couple bucks diffence is worth it. As with other reviews, the color throws you off a bit. But once you get around that (and the lack of cutesy, plush character propaganda), you will uncover the secret of worry-free diapering. And as an added bonus: NO DIAPER RASH!!! U gotta love it!
