Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Free & Clear Baby Wipes, 36 count Travel Packs (Pack of 12) (432 Wipes)Customer Review: Great Product Summary: 5 Stars
I use both the travel sized and regular packs of Seventh Generation wipes and love them. I feel good that I can do something (however small) to help out the environment and I've come to like them so much that I wouldn't go to "traditional" wipes unless these disappeared. I have had a few occassions where I ran out of wipes and had to run into CVS and buy some of the other brands and have never liked any of them. Plus, my 9-month old has NEVER had diaper rash (I also use Seventh Generation diapers which I love). One tip that a nurse gave me in the hospital for all wipes - open the package (top slot is fine) and run some cool water into it, swish it around and then drain through the opening. It helps keep wipes moister and gets rid of some of the citric acid that all wipes (even these) have which helps avoid diaper rash, especially in newborns.
Customer Review: the best baby wipes Summary: 5 Stars
With my first child I used Huggies unscented wipes and I was satisfied w/ them. When I was pregnant w/ my second baby I stocked up on the same wipes. She constantly had a rash, but my doctor said some babies just get them alot and not to be concerned about it. But I started to notice when we were out and I wiped her face with a baby wipe it would later be red. So after I tried all the wipes that our town carries, including organic cotton ones I ordered these along with the diapers. And now she never has rashes if I use them both. I had never even thought about the chlorine in diapers- I feel bad for not figuring this out earlier. Now that I'm pregnant with #3 I will get these from the very beginning. I'm so glad these are available.
Customer Review: Love their diapers but these wipes are thin and really stink! Summary: 2 Stars
I usually use Huggies (which are thick and awesome) or Costco wipes but decided to try a greener wipe that is easier to travel with. I noticed that these wipes are considerably thinner than the Huggies and Costco wipes hence they feel softer. However, since they are thinner I've noticed that I need to use more wipes for number 2 clean up now. Also the odor is horrendous! It makes number 2 clean up smell worse and I want to gag everytime. I've tried these wipes in the past but I don't remember the horrible smell and I really regret buying this big pack of wipes. I would stay away from these wipes for a while until they reformulate.
Customer Review: Nice to be green, but old formula was better Summary: 3 Stars
I like the idea of greener products, but I am not impressed with this reformulation (from a few years back with my first child). The sheets are smaller, drier and fewer to a package than before. The resealable packaging is nice though and good for travel.
I've switched to Tushies which I think performs better, although I don't like that the sheets are perforated together and therefore harder to get out of the box, but they are bigger, a tad more moist to do the job well, and smell cleaner (unscented). They do not have a resealable package so I only use them from a dispenser box at home.
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 4 Stars
I am pleased with this wipe as cleans very well without causing skin irritation. I like the eco friendly aspect and the only complaint would be that they have a funny smell which we got used to quickly and don't even notice now. I think the smell is from no perfumes... in the product and you are smelling the actual ingredients rather than the fake stuff in other wipes. I also bought the 80 count packages to refill my wipe warmer and honestly the package size is not much different so when the 40 counts are gone I will probably only buy the 80 counts as they will travel just as easily.
