Seventh Generation is a small Vermont company that specializes in environmentally friendly products. According to their advertising, this glass cleaner is "non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, biodegradable, vegetable based and contains no dyes or fragrances." Thus, the claim is that it will not harm you. Not only will it not harm you, but it will not harm the seventh generation of your descendants. I would like to be around to check on that.
I tried the cleaner on glass, granite countertops, and ceramic. The bottles have both a spray and squirt option. The cleaner does appear to work. It cleans as well as other cleaners. It has a slight citrus smell.
We still have to do all those other things needed to stop climate change. Whether you buy this or not depends on how much you value the environmental friendliness of the manufacturer and the product.

I'd been saving a dirty mirror just for the arrival of this product. Clean up was quick and easy. There are no harsh fumes (take this from someone who has almost passed out cleaning the windows inside her car). There's a slight lingering fragrance (not unpleasant), but it doesn't last long. When set on spray, the bottle shoots in a nice wide radius. This keeps the product from immediately running down a vertical surface. There were no streaks or cloudy residue. After I finished cleaning, though the paper towel was wet through, my hands didn't feel dry or chemical coated. I also used this product to clean a desk with pencil marks and glue build up from a desk. That took a bit longer since it was weeks worth of glue from a glue stick, but it still left me with a clean surface.
Great product that cleans just as well as any glass cleaner. I highly recommend it.

I am, by and large, a green fellow. I try to make sure my carbon footprint is small. I buy organic, and I endeavor not to poisin myself or my environment when I do things like clean my home.
That said, this product is right up my alley.
No corrosive elements. No foul smell.
It also does a good job of cleaning. It is actually slightly better at bright work (mirrors and the like) than it is at powering through scum. But it does disolve most messes easily.
Heartily recommended for folks with kids/pets they want to keep safe from nasty chemicals found in most products.
And the smell is OK. Not fruity, not heavy. Just nice.

I have tried this on glass, tile, wood, countertops, plastic, metal, and even TV screens and it has not let me down yet. I have not really had the opportunity to try it on anything extremely greasy or hardened, but I did clean some very dusty and smudged areas and it worked just fine for that and didn't leave the dreaded streaks on glass after I was done. It has a nice, non-chemical smell and since it is all natural except for a very small amount of preservative, it makes me feel a little closer to nature as I'm using it. So if you want a good all around cleaner, that doesn't have that heavy chemical smell, and is an earth friendly option, this could be the right cleaner for you.Customer Review: Easy and Effective Glass Cleaner

Seventh Generation Glass & Surface Cleaner's new Ruby Grapefruit & Herb Scent is simply a new miracle product for the home. It can be used to clean any hard surface, but where it really shines is on glass and mirrors.
I've always used Windex to clean my mirrors, but I usually have a fan going or a window opened because I can't stand the fumes. There is no need for that with Seventh; it has a clean, fresh citrus smell that is light and never bothersome.
Most importantly, this product cleans the mirrors easily without any streaking. This is a great product that is environmentally friendly and the only one you'll need for the kitchen and bathroom.
