Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Liquid Dish Detergent, Free & Clear, 48-Ounce Bottles (Case of 6)Customer Review: Great Product--Many Uses Summary: 5 Stars
Seventh Generation Liquid Dish Detergent, Natural Lavender Floral & Mint, 25-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)
Our family has gone through a few cases of this product. We "subscribe and save" which is quite convenient and economical. This dish washing liquid can be found throughout our home, as we use if for nearly all cleaning.
It eventually just became more convenient to use one product; maybe the idea came from a Dr. Bonner's bottle. We find that our hair is manageable when we use this as shampoo, in fact, scalp conditions have improved. It rinses cleaner and quicker than shampoo! The dish soap makes a gentle soap for bathing needs, and a good spot cleaner along with our soap nuts in the laundry. We keep a bottle handy for outdoor cleaning.
Additionally, Seventh Generation Dish Detergent has not disappointed us when it comes to washing dishes and pans. Balance has certainly been achieved between effective and gentle with respect for the environment.
Customer Review: Good Stuff Summary: 4 Stars
Overall, it is a pretty good dishwashing liquid. It doesnt give me dishpan hands and it smells neutral, I never notice anything.
I have many many many allergies to common stuff, so it was nice to find something that I could use and not sneeze or get a rash. All the "natural" Ivory, etc. soaps are just another name for a new smell that sounds better but still makes me allergic but costs more.
It is a little odd, but I use this as a shampoo as well. I am allergic to every shampoo I've tried (over 60+) and seen my 4th dermatologist (allergy specialist in NY recently) who was not able to suggest anything else. I use an off the shelf conditioner (Earth Science) for people with allergies.
While I dont value this aspect highly, it does make me feel good to use such a "earth focused" product.
NOTE:
I dont think gets rid of grease like regular $1 Ajax, but it is much better than most of the other alternatives. At least this has suds, and will cut the grease eventually.
Customer Review: Wonderfully Gentle Summary: 5 Stars
Seventh Generation Dish Soap / B000C7SSE6
After using (and loving) the Seventh Seventh Generation Dish Soap with Lavender scent, I was excited to change over to the Free and Clear unscented version offered on Amazon. My mother has asthma and a lot of scent additives - even natural ones - can send her into bad coughing fits and give her trouble breathing.
I'm happy to say that this Free and Clear soap does not irritate her breathing at all, and the soap cleans just as well as anything else out there on the market. The soap is gentle and does not give me any skin rashes, and since the ingredients are natural and are not harsh on grass or animals, I'm able to use this soap outside to clean out my dog's crate / carrier without worrying that the drained soap will kill my grass, poison my water, or hurt my little puppy when he chews on the dried grass later. I love this product!

Customer Review: Works well for all of my needs Summary: 5 Stars
While there are plenty of suds to clean whatever I need, I've noticed that the bubbles go down the drain easier. This would lead me to believe the product is true to its claim, that it is less harmful to the environment. I read one person's comment about the flimsy lids...the lids are different from the other dish liquids I've bought. My suggestion to this would be to pick up this item in the grocery store instead of having it shipped to your door. You can buy it in lesser quantities and the lid will be in perfect shape. They sell this exact product in my regular grocery store. Hopefully the seller will figure out a way to ship this product without the lids being damaged. I personally find that the lid on this bottle is actually less messy and easier to work with when washing dishes because the liquid doesn't cake around the top of the bottle.
Customer Review: So far the best "green" dish soap Summary: 5 Stars
Just a note: as of this review, the price for this is at $99! I can't say that's a great deal. I believe I paid $38! Now that's a great deal! Hold out if you can, & see if the price goes back down!
We have tried just about every brand of "green" dish soap out there. We find we always go back to Seventh Generation. It works well, suds pretty good, & a bottle lasts over a month. It has no scent what-so-ever. Perfect if you are avoiding scented products.
Because we have well & septic. It is very important to us to have a product that not only works, but is safe for our septic & for the environment. Seventh Generation creates products that I feel much safer using. Of course they are not perfect, but the more chemicals we avoid, the better off we all are!
