Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Liquid Dish Detergent, Natural Lavender Floral & Mint, 25-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)Customer Review: Effective, biodegradable cleanser Summary: 5 Stars
Like others, I had a problem with the flimsiness of the packaging. I didn't order it online, but purchased it from Target. Within an hour, I discovered a major leakage. Luckily, I was able to exchange it for another bottle immediately.
When I first tried this product, I was doubtful that it would be as effective as Palmolive; it's definitely runny. However, I found that I could use the same amount of Seventh Generation and get nearly identical results. The smell is heavenly as well; it doesn't reek of detergent.
One qualm I still have about Seventh Generation is its ingredients. I do believe that it is biodegradable, but I wonder if it is safer than other commercial detergents. Sodium laureth sulfate is one of the first ingredients listed, and it is an ingredient we are told to avoid in cosmetics. I don't want to put it on my face, but I don't want to ingest it either. If anyone could offer input on this, I'd love to hear it. Is Seventh Generation any safer for humans than other soaps?
Customer Review: nice scent, gentle, packaging improved Summary: 5 Stars
I like the scent of this dishwashing liquid. We use it to clean baby bottles and anything we wash by hand. It works as well as anything else I've used and the price is right through subscribe and save. It feels good to know that petroleum is not used to make the soap. Also, when mine arrived it came in a large box with lots of packing paper surrounding a smaller box inside, which contained the soap. The packing paper is just paper and so is recyclable, like the boxes. None of my bottles were damaged, and so perhaps this is in response to some of the issues others have had with broken bottles. We also use subscribe and save for SG diapers and wipes, and are overall just really happy with the products and service.

Seventh Generation Dish Soap / B000E1G02W
I was a little worried about switching over to this dish soap, but I took the plunge and I'm really glad that I did. I feel that the dishes get as clean as they did before, and my hands don't feel raw and painful after washing. I have really bad skin allergies, which is probably why chemical cleaners disagree with me so much, and I'm very happy with this natural cleaner.
I originally purchased a single bottle from [...], but Amazon turns out to be a slightly lower price (adjusted for scale, of course), so I'll probably order the larger Amazon pack whenever I run out next time.

Customer Review: One bottle broken Summary: 3 Stars
I received my box today and one bottle's top broke off and leaked through the box. DHL left the box on my porch anyway. I fault DHL more than Amazon. The lavender fragrance is nice, I cannot really comment on the cleaning ability yet. If it's not satisfactory, I'll post an addendum for your review.
FYI: Amazon came through by refunding for the one damaged bottle.I liked this product so much (but must still use Dawn for real greasy pans)that I use one bottle a month and stock up on all 7th Generations lavender products when there is a coupon special. Try the laundry products.
Customer Review: Great product! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this product in my attempts to be more environmentally conscious, and I am very pleased with it. The Lavender Floral & Mint scent is heavenly! You need to use more soap than you do with conventional dish soaps to get your dishes clean, but the bottle still lasts a very long time. I've been using my current bottle for six months now (I live alone) and I've probably got a good month or so before I'll need to buy a new one.
