Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Natural Laundry Detergent with Non-Chlorine Bleach, Free & Clear, Powder, 112-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]Customer Review: Soap Summary: 5 StarsThis soap has been very good for my family as we have allergies, and it has proved to be the only soap that does not cause any skin problems.
Customer Review: Clean clothes, good price, lasts forever, and green! Sign me up. Summary: 5 StarsI bought this a couple months ago. We're a family of 2 who does laundry a couple times a week, using a high efficiency washer. This stuff works great! A third of a scoop or so, and the clothes come out clean, fresh, but unscented. I particularly like that it seems to last forever - we're about halfway down on the first box. It doesn't take much to get clean clothes with this detergent. I also like the completely unscented nature, the fact that I know every ingredient, and the fact that I don't have to worry about anyone having a reaction to it. A great detergent, shipped free, at a wonderful price.
Customer Review: Awesome Free & Clear product Summary: 4 StarsWe bought the 4-box pack about almost exactly 1 year ago and now I need to reorder. We are a family of 3 who uses cloth diapers, so I needed a detergent that we could wash the entire family's clothing in plus the diapers. I only use about 2 tablespoons per wash (about half the recommended amount for a medium load), and I don't have any problems with it dissolving or not rinsing out. I have hard water and we wash our clothes in warm water with a cold rinse. And my clothes come out clean. I can't believe this stuff lasted for a year since we do a ton of laundry.
There aren't any optical brighteners so some clothes do tend to look faded but I try not to put these items through the drier to prolong their lives. But I don't *want* optical brighteners, so that's fine. This detergent also doesn't wash out oil stains (like olive oil, or reddi-whip stuff), but I am not sure if any detergent does.
Customer Review: hardened up on me Summary: 2 StarsI bought a big box of this that would last me several months. Before I got through it all, it hardened up like a rock. If I tried to break it up and use it anyway, I would find pieces left over after the wash that didn't even dissolve and were like little rocks. I don't know if the humidity would do this to any powdered detergent, but I'd never seen it happen. Had to throw about 1/3 of the box out. So I recommend the liquid version.
Customer Review: Yes, this is 'he' approved! Summary: 5 StarsI was 'taking a chance' with my first order of 4 boxes but have been completely delighted with the results of doing my laundry with Seven Generation Natural Laundry Detergent. I just received my second order of 4 boxes and will never go back to the other brands! I have a front loading Maytag and the product works perfectly. I am in the habit of adding 'oxi clean' but that is the only additive I use.
