Customer Review: Does Just What It Claims, It Cleans Your Clothes And Then Some

We've been using this product for several years now, first in an older top loader and now in a new HE front loader. It washes everything from delicates to stinky work clothes very well. Personally I can speak to grungy work clothes, some days I come home and change outside if I haven't allready changed on the jobsite. This detergent makes it all better, without all the harsh ingrediants of conventional detergent. And it's much better for the environment, bonus! Disclaimer: I am not now nor ever have been a tree hugger.Customer Review: Love it!

I love that this product is ...
1. fragrance, etc. free (one family member has very allergy-sensitive skin and another is, well, a walking allergy - this detergent causes NO problems for them)
2. earth-friendly and concentrated (a little goes a long way! just watch the water temp. - if the water is too cold, the detergent won't dissolve)
3. "non-toxic" - I got some of the detergent in my eye one time and I was able to wash it out without it stinging, burning, or causing blindness!

I've used this product since Seventh Generation changed the formula on their original product. It cleans well and doesn't have the fragrances that make me so ill. When you can find this with free shipping, it's a good deal! I use and recommend many of Seventh Generation's products, including their dishwasher detergent, dishwashing soap, and spray cleaner. I bought a big box of this that would last me several months. Before I got through it all, it hardened up like a rock. If I tried to break it up and use it anyway, I would find pieces left over after the wash that didn't even dissolve and were like little rocks. I don't know if the humidity would do this to any powdered detergent, but I'd never seen it happen. Had to throw about 1/3 of the box out. I bought this HE detergent after reading in several chat rooms that my front loader HE washing machine might not smell as much if I used it. It really works great! Plus, I have a family of sensitive skin types, and no one has noticed that I switched laundry detergent...which is a GOOD thing. It is very hard to find in stores, so I recommend buying it from Amazon to save gas and your time running all over town to find it.
