I have tried many earth friendly laundry detergants but this one is the best on the market. It get clothes clean and they have a fresh scent if you add the Seventh Generation lavander liquid fabric softner with the wash. My clothes feel great and still look as good as using a normal convential product on the market but without all the chemicals.Customer Review: Skin Safe

I have allergies and after one use of Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent I noticed a big difference in how my skin reacted when I put my recently laundered clothes on. Also, my clothes didn't smell funny when they came out of the washer like they do with other detergents. Most laundry products want to put a scent on me. Mountain or Spring or Breezy or Floral ... thanks but no thanks. I want a powdered laundry detergent that gets my clothes nice and clean PERIOD.
Seventh Generation Free and Clear does that. And it keeps my septic system happy too.

I have been using this laundry detergent for a while now and have not had any problems. Some detergents would make me itch, others did not work to well. This is hands-down the best detergent ever. Very good price. Cleans great, and doesn't leave horrid residue or cleansing chemical smells behind. I love it. This particular item does not work with the new HE washers, which is the new rage these days, but all 7th generation cleaners work really great!
