Customer Review: Eco-friendly but inefficient

These paper towels are just not very absorbent. I don't mind that they are not white, that they don't have little food related drawings all over them, that they don't tear off in single 1/2 use sized strips or that there are not as many sheets to the roll as some others. What I mind is that, in order to clean up, dry up, whatever, I need to use more than I would if I purchased some that were less Eco-friendly. I'm going to try the white version next and see if they work better.Customer Review: Great product to help do your part in saving natural resources.

When we realized how many napkins &paper towels we used,we were shocked and went to the other extreme of using cloth napkins instead. However, we found ourselves still having uses for paper towels as well. Although we still often use cloth napkins at meals, we like having paper towels and knowing that they are made from 100% post consumer materials, and no bleach is used in thier making.
These towles are great and do a good job all around the house. Give them a try.

I ordered these because I appreciate the idea of using recycled paper, however, these are the absolutely worst paper towels I've ever tried. They are not very absorbent, so you wind up using a lot more than you would with any other brand. And you feel like you are just moving water around. And they are rough.
I was trying to be environmentally friendly, but it is not good for the environment that I had to use three to four paper towels in the place of one.

Pros:
- Fairly cheap.
- Environmentally friendly
Cons:
- Poor quality. I have gone through at least 50 rolls of these things and never once pulled a sheet off the roll without ripping it (unless I hold the perforation with one hand while ripping carefully with the other). These are not strong paper towels at all. For the price, I'm okay with that and will continue to purchase them, but make sure you're aware before ordering.

If you are a "green" generation customer, these towels are great. Love the color as it blends in with the natural stones and tiles I have used in my kitchen, which means I can keep the towels conveniently on my countertop without destroying the beauty of the natural stones decor in kitchen. Was told that 7th Generation was no longer making this color and was disappointed but glad that I could still get them online. I hope the company rethinks its decision.
