I received my Neti pot about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I wanted to use it for awhile before posting a review.
I've ALWAYS suffered from allergies, mostly due to dust, pollen, molds, (i.e. AIR!) etc. This little pot has washed everything out of my nose and I can't believe the difference.
The sensation feels just like getting water up your nose in the swimming pool, but doesn't sting nearly as bad or hurt at all like the pool water does. Our water supply is pretty heavily chlorinated, so I use filtered tap water with my pot. You just get the sensation of your sinuses gently filling with water; a quick twinge of pressure and that's it.
Afterwards, the quality of breathing is improved tremendously. I still use my Benedryl at night, but I haven't popped a prescription allergy pill or used my sprays since using this little pot everyday. (I usually use it in the morning, when my allergies are at their worst.)
Even my husband uses it and loves it.
All in all, it's definitely worth the money and procedure. Give it a try!! Sometimes, the simplest solutions are the ones that work best.

First off I have used both the Neilmed and this neti pot. I am going to have to side with the Neilmed neti pot at the superior one even though the Neilmed one has issues of its own. This neti pot however I absolutely cannot use in my left nostril. I used the Neilmed one for about 4 months and received this one a week ago. My nose isn't shaped funny or anything its just no matter what angle I use this at it wont work in my left nostril. Therefore 90% of my cleaning is done through my right nostril. I think after this I'm just going to go out and buy the squeeze bottle. I'm tired of dealing with inferior designs. The only thing this has on the Neilmed neti pot is the hole in the nozzle is larger and thus can move more water and thus make a more forceful flow through your sinus'.
I'll give it some props on the solution that comes with it however. VERY good salt that dissolves easily and thickens the water perfectly. When its working it drags alot of large junk right out with ease. Much better than the saline packets that come with the Neilmed neti pot as well as sea salt (I used that when I ran out of packets).

I first heard about this product when one of my coworkers mentioned seeing the Oprah episode with Dr. Oz where it was demonstrated. I thought, no way, that's disguisting. But my allergies can get bad enough that I decided that it couldn't hurt to try.
I have a lot of problems at night where I will wake up in the middle of the night with a terrible stuffed up nose. I've been on pills, nose sprays, etc, and even those weren't perfect. When I first tried this product, it was a very unusual feeling; but after a few times and getting the technique down, it started to feel good.
Not only that, but as long as I use it right before I go to bed, I have NO problems at all with waking up stuffy. I can breathe the whole night through. I've tested it. There have been times I haven't used it before bedtime, and I do wake up stuffy. So it definitely works great! I don't even have to use medication anymore except during ragweed season (my main allergic sensitivity) or if I'm sick then the extra medication helps better.
This product is worth it, you just have to give it a good chance.

I saw the Neti-Pot episode of Oprah and wondered if I had found a solution for my now more than 30 years of allergy and sinus suffering. I have been using this product once a day and notice my sinuses have not been congested since using it. I can finally breathe deep in my sinuses and through my nose instead of only through my mouth. It takes a little getting used to running warm salt water through your nose, but as long as you keep your head tilted over the sink and breathe through your mouth and do not swallow, the process is painless and very effective. I use about 1/2 packet of sodium per use. Too little sodium burns, too much and it is a salty aftertaste. I haven't tried to yet, but many people say you can make your own saline solution instead of buying their packets. I would think you could also use any inexpensive saline solution (the cheapest I see is the plain saline contact solution).
Overall I would say this product has made a huge benefit to my sinuses. I still suffer allergies, as it will not "cure" them, but my symptoms are greatly diminished. I have not needed a decongestant.

To put it simply this product has changed my life! For years I have suffered in the fall and winter months with terrible sinus infections. I have been on every antihistamine available and have developed resistance to all but one, Zyrtec. My doctor said I needed to see an ENT. He had done everything he could and then I saw Dr. Oz on Oprah. I got my neti pot last fall and I started using it at the beginning of my worst allergy season. To make a long story short I did not have any sinus infections, only two very mild colds. I breathe better than I have in years and I will be using a neti pot for the rest of my life! I found out that you must be consistent with the use of your little pot. I used it every day and twice a day when I had a cold. It doesn't work over night if your symptoms are as severe as mine because your sinuses have a lot of healing to do but it will work if you use it religiously. People I work with have even noticed that I have stayed well this past year and ask me what I have done. I use the SinuCleanse neti pot and I love it. If you have allergies you must try this little miracle!
