Customer Review: The Only Iron Supplement I Could Take During Pregnancy

My doctor told me to take some iron supplement in my third trimester. By then, morning sickness was no longer an issue, but when I took the prescribed iron supplement she gave me and even the small amount in my prescribe prenatal multi-vitamins, I would get very nauseous. My doctor then recommended I try Slow Fe. I didn't feel any discomfort. I'm still taking them while I'm breastfeeding.Customer Review: Great product, not so great packaging

I've never taken any other iron supplement so i can't say for certain whether this one is more gentle on your stomach than another brand, but i don't really have any problems with it, and no problems with the usual constipation issue that i know can happen with other iron supplements. The packaging is kind of a pain in the ass but not so much so that i would buy another brand.Customer Review: NOT as described

The description lists these pills as 50 mg elemental iron equivalent to 160 mg ferrous sulfate. My doctor prescribed 160 mg ferrous sulfate so I thought this was perfect. Imagine my surprise to find on the box they are actually 45 mg elemental iron equivalent to 142 mg of ferrous sulfate. The box says "new formula". Amazon you need to update your descriptions!Customer Review: Worth the $$$

I get anemic easily with heavy periods. This product is a godsend. I can't take regular iron as it makes me nauseated and other typical adverse affects if you know what I mean. So I tried this and 1-2 days into treatment I feel energy again and I can tell I'm on the mend and I have absolutely no side affects taking this.Customer Review: good supplement, terrible packaging

I used these recently and while they did help I was extremely frustrated with the packaging. I was unable to peel the paper off the back to get a pill out, so I had to resort to cutting each pill out with a pair of scissors, sometimes cutting into the pill itself. These need a new design, a bottle would be MUCH better.
