Customer Review: Nice product but be sure to get a dimmer and bulb!

I shopped around for awhile before buying this lamp and this was the best price I found. Had I purchased it through Solay, I would have paid $49.99 plus $4.95 shipping, so I felt like I received a great deal. The only problem is that, as a previous reviewer stated, the bulb and dimmer are not included. Although on the product page and individual checkout information it says that both ARE included, they are not. This information is purportedly on the seller's website (so they informed me via e-mail when I wrote to complain), but I believe that, like most people, I go on what is on the item and checkout pages. To me this seems a bit deceptive. However, since I didn't really care for a dimmer, I just bought a light bulb from a local store. To me, it's a slight annoyance when compared with how much I saved.
That being said, I love the lamp itself. I bought it for use as a night light and the proposed ionizing qualities are an added bonus. It is beautiful! The soft glow it gives off reminds me of candle light and is very soothing. I'd recommend it for aesthetic appeal alone.

Fortunately, I communicated with Solay and then (an added pleasure) the seller, BTSC, before the lamp was shipped and they responded rapidly -- I'll say that much for them.
I had written to ask some details. Came to learn they were "out" of dimmers; but told me where I could buy one -- from a craft place with a $30 minimum purchase and which didn't list the item anyway. Also where to buy extra bulbs -- at another $14.91 shipping cost.
Seeing this was getting out of hand and that I wasn't going to receive what I had purchased, I asked them to cancel this order. The seller did, with a rude note about how it wasn't false advertising because they thought they could hide behind the mistakes of others. Wrongo, guys. When I objected, I received another rather rude letter of the CYA type mixed with plenty of raging bull (not the Robert de Niro film).
Apparently the problem seems to stem from Solay not being able to present the item as advertised. However, this mistake is compounded when the seller attempts to fix blame on the customer who is obviously not able o handle the English language and thus wants to believe what is said in the Amazon blurb. It's all my fault for not understanding the difference between old and new, seller and... wait... now I am confused.
I suppose I really should accept the ridicule our friendly seller gave me when I tried to explain my extensive background in advertising and marketing and that I could read the promotional material on Amazon quite well, thank you.
His company is "big" and so must always be "right." I'm a dummy who doesn't understand how all this mysterious buying and selling stuff really works.
I created advertising over many years from items ranging from nuclear power plants to breakfast cereals, so my background wasn't enough to understand. Let's repeat: his company is big on salt.
Gee, I must have gotten confused about that, too, and need to recheck my resume. Being retired, I guess it's too late for that. It's the Alzheimer's, I guess.
This silly conflict worked out and I'm still looking around; but just beware. I only lucked out by not having to go through the hassle of returning an item as not being as represented. The seller was only too happy to cancel the order and prevent further damage to his bigness.
Perhaps this ad will be changed very soon? OK; but I still will have a red flag next to them both, maker and seller. A seller's attitude is important to me.
