We originally purchased the HOOAH bars for my husband to take on backpacking trips. We found that not only do they work well for that use, but they are good to take on Boy Scout campouts, day hikes, bike trips and other activities. Since they do not melt in the wrappers you can leave a few in the car to eat on busy days and not have them be a gooey mess. They even taste good!Customer Review: energy bars

texture and consistency is like a tootsie roll with rice krispies mixed in throughout tastes like a fudge brownie satisfies hunger and doesn't need water to eat . doesn't melt in heat like the chocolate covered energy bars. wife and kids like the taste good emergency food source 3 year shelf life will definitely buy more and try the peanut butter too. I really like these things. They're certainly chewy, so they can be a bit of a jaw workout, but they taste pretty good while having a lot more nutritional value than a candy bar, and they keep you going for a couple of hours. If only they were a little cheaper, say a dollar or less per bar, I'd probably go through them a lot more quickly than I do right now.Customer Review: Hooray for Hooah

Great stuff. Probably the best-tasting bars on the market. One at midday keeps me going at work (construction). Glad their available to civilians now. Also great for hikes and survival kits. Although there may be healthier bars available, they definitely don't taste or work as good as Soldier Fuel!

I'm a 59-year-old woman, and these bars are a godsend! I don't notice any difference at all until I get in the middle of doing something and realize that I haven't had to stop to rest, or I do something and still feel like doing something else. It's no exaggeration to say they've changed my life.
