Customer Review: decent substitute for the beauty blender

Sonia Kashuk or the Beauty Blender? Well, this Sonia Kashuk sponge is a lot less expensive. Half the price actually. And it works really well to apply liquid and gel foundations and creamy concealer. I was really impressed with how well it applied the chalkiest Revlon foundation. It looked as good as the MUFE HD foundation. Really amazing!
So why not 5 stars? Well it comes down to one basic thing: cleaning. This sponge is a lot harder to clean than the Beauty Blender. This sponge is a lot like the traditional makeup sponges in that it is very dense. So when you clean it, you'll find it is a lot harder to get all the residue out of the sponge. But if you want to try a reusable sponge I think this is a good place to start.
Word of warning: If you are planning to pick this up at Target I highly suggest going online to target.com and check the stock at your local store first. Many of the stores are sold out.
