Customer Review: Worked Great... for the first 6 hours...

At first I was skeptical about getting one of these because of the mixed reviews, but Since Amazon is really good with returns/exchanges I gave it a try. I was excited yesterday to get the alarm clock... I hooked it up and tested it, it worked great. The vibrator is really something. Some people say the alarm is not too loud, but I think its loud enough. I am a person who sleeps through my alarm, but I dont think I will sleep through this one. Any louder and it would give me a headache, not a good way to wake up. So all was going well until 12:01am last night... The bed shaker went off and would not stop. I unpluged it, plugged it back in but it was still shaking.. I even tried unpluging it from the wall and plugging it back in... but it was still shaking. So I unplugged the vibrator (the whole point i bought this clock) and this morning I woke up to just the beep alarm :(
I called amazon, and they are shipping me a replacement, I hope the new one works because it seems like a decent alarm clock.

I'm a heavy sleeper, and a bit hard of hearing in my left ear. This alarm clock showed up on Gold Box Deals, so I took a chance.
It works great! While the LED is huge, the overall thickness of the clock is rather thin.
You can set the alarm from soft to extra loud via a dial. You can also change the tone from low to high via another dial. The settings can be locked, so you don't accidently turn the alarm time to something you don't want.
The vibrating part of the alarm is great, and is why I bought this. I put it under my mattress, and while my other two alarm clocks had been going off for ten minutes (I hadn't heard them), when my bed began to shake, I immediately woke up from my deep sleep and there wasn't a chance I was going back to sleep. I haven't timed how long it vibrates, but on my test run of three minutes, it didn't shut off by itself.
If you have trouble waking up, and have wondered about vibrating alarm clocks, this one is great.

I am a hard of hearing person and wear hearing aids. This clock is the best thing I have had since I was a teenager and had a flashing alarm clock. The vibration is strong enough to wake you from a sound sleep without jolting you and scaring the heck out of you. The buzzer is quite loud and piercing when set on the highest decibel and will wake the entire household. So be sure if you use the buzzer you set it on a comfortable setting for you. I use mainly the vibrating alarm because it allows me to remove my hearing aids at night and still "hear" or should I say feel the alarm go off without disturbing the rest of the family. It is a great product; large flashing numerals on the clock, variable settings on the buzzer and the choice of using just the buzzer, the buzzer and the vibration or the vibration by itself. I place the vibrator disc under my pillow and it does the job great. I highly recommend this product for those who have difficulty hearing an alarm/persons with a hearing impairmentCustomer Review: Change of life!

My 19 year old son was always a very hard sleeper. Throughout his school years, we would have shouting matches in the morning trying to wake him up to get to school on time. Mornings were always chaotic and seemed to get off on the wrong foot! We had even tried medication prescribed by his physician to try to help him change his sleep habits. This failed miserably.
When he moved out and went out into the workforce, he had trouble keeping jobs because he was always reporting late to work. Which meant he constantly had trouble paying his bills now that he was living on his own.
One afternoon, he asked us if there wasn't something we could buy that could "shock" him each morning to wake him up. As a last ditch effort to help him, I decided to browse online for something that could "shock" him awake.
I discovered this clock and decided to try it. To get to the point, he has not reported late since I gave him the clock. Thank you Sonic Boom!!

I do give it 5 stars, and it vibrates me up easily (im a heavy sleeper - a cell phone alarm simply will not do) and it very loud. I have a tendency to NOT wake up to sound, but the vibration certainly works. This alarm is loud, and you can even set it louder. however, i do not use the sound because i don't want to wake my brother up (he shares a room with me). It doesn't. The only problem with this is that i find it missing a piece.. maybe it's just me, but it has a hard time standing up on its own when i put force on it (ie. pressing the snooze button). It falls over. there is a little hole in the back however where I slipped 3 standard paper clips and folded out one limb and put it straight out, to the left and to the right. it works well, so if you dont get the stand, then you can use paper clips. also, the brightness setting is nice. i set the display brightness to low because I cant sleep with lights on. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Probably the best investment I've made in 3 years.
