Customer Reviews of Sonic Alert SBT425ss Digital Sonic Boom Loud Vibrating Alarm Clock with Telephone Signaler

Customer Review: Awsome vibrating alarm clock!
Summary: 5 Stars

Sonic Alert SB200 Sonic Boom Loud Vibrating Alarm ClockI love this vibrating alarm clock. It is so easy to set up and really easy to set the alarm. It even has a back-up, with a battery, for when the power goes out. The last vibrating alarm clock I had was bulky with a large motor to put under the mattress or boxspring. This one has a small motor that fits in the palm of your hand. It is also a convient size to travel with, whereas, I couldn't take my old one anywhere. I highly recommend this device. THUMBS UP to the inventor!

Customer Review: Great Alarm!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had profound hearing loss since the age of 2. After years of my parents waking me up, I got my first Sonic Boom Alarm clock when I was in High School. I've had it for 12 years and it still works great! I bought this one because my old one was accidently packed up in storage while moving this summer. This new style is more compact and is more aesetically pleasing, but has the same great qualities that the Sonic Boom Alarm clock has always had! I've never known anyone that could sleep through this alarm! I use just the vibrating option as that wakes me up just fine...the lights are a bit too much for me.

Customer Review: Boom is not so booming
Summary: 2 Stars

This alarm clock is in a box in my attic waiting on a yard sale. The problem is 2 fold. The vibration wakes up my boyfriend and the "sonic boom" doesn't wake me up. I don't know what they were thinking when they tried to make this alarm clock seem loud. I got a 15 dollar alarm clock from Target that would wake the dead and it works just fine for me. Another problem with the vibration is that I toss and turn and the thing always ends up on the floor, no matter where i put it. I would not recommend wasting your money.

Customer Review: Top notch
Summary: 5 Stars

Just installed mine. VERY loud, shakes bed hard. Works same as the Sonic Bomb clock I got for my nephew. He gets up very well on his own now. I needed this one to wake me for phone calls.

I just tested it. Without a DSL filter, plugged into it's own jack, I did a speed test while calling it. Speed test was normal, phone rang, clock rang with a normal electronic phone sound, different from the alarm tone. Three red LEDs come on (not so bright) and bed shakes vigorously.

Recommended highly.

Customer Review: Wake the Dead! - 2008 Update - Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking!
Summary: 5 Stars

So far I only need the bed shaker to jolt me awake. I have tried the sound and I suspect it would wake the neighbors down the block. Highly recommended for anyone with hearing loss (me), or just someone who needs prodded awake (me again).

01/01/09 Update:

Still working. One of my cats knocked it off my night stand and it landed on the snooze button. For a while I thought it was broken, but the button was just jammed.

Highly recommended.
