Being deaf all my life, it was impossible to wake up early. College provided a challenge for getting up and fortunately the early versions of Sonic Boom alarm clocks helped. Now that I've burned thru 25 years of vibrating alarm clocks, all kinds, all brands, I keep coming back to this particular Sonic Boom Alarm clock. Granted, it's not the most reliable clock, and I'll occasionally wake up to some weird time, but as long as I set it a good half hour before I really need to wake up, it's ok. Only problem it is not the most durable product, so I find I have to buy a new one annually, and just got a second one as backup for traveling. It does have a tendency to fall the night table while trying to shut off the alarm frequently, and the cords/plug are not very durable, plus they tangle easily. As long as you don't mind replacing it on a regular basis, it's a great alarm clock and the prefect vibrating alarm.Customer Review: Works Great With No Time Loss

I've been using this clock for a little while and haven't experienced any time loss like the other reviewers have. This product works very well and I highly recommend it.
All my life, I've had extremely loud alarm clocks, because I grew up in a room with a loud fish tank and I've learned to sleep through all kinds of noise. I moved to an apartment with paper thin walls and I can no longer use a really loud alarm clock so I had to find something else.
This product works better than any of my old loud alarms that I picked up at places like Radio Shack. It wakes me up every time and I wish I would have found it years ago. I but the shaker between the mattress and box spring and turned off all the sound.
Buy it and you'll be happy. If it starts not keeping time correctly you should probably replace it or send it in for warranty as I haven't experienced this problem at all.

i bought this product because vendor states it works with 110v/220v. the 220v option requires extra charge, but i forgot to order it.
now i've got the product and then asked for the 220v transformer. they passed me to the british representative of the vendor. the british representative found the adapter for 15 EUR in france (acceptable), but freight was 59 EUR (more than the watch, the freight from us (which is 3 times farther), and the 220v transformer together).
the british representative above has a representative in israel, which could receive my transformer with one of their regular parcels, to cut of that exaggerated freight, but in the end did not.
even to return the watch back to the states would cost me more than it's price the vendor would give back to me.
i'll definitely have to look for a product near me.

I have never had a better alarm clock.
I've been hearing impaired since I was about seven years old. I usually fall asleep with my good ear pressed against the pillow and my bad ear facing up. For years I had problems getting up. Then my mom found this clock online. I had the same one for over a year (possibly over two - I don't remember which Easter I got it) and I only had to replace it recently because something happened to it when I was travelling over the holidays.
I'm a college freshman now and this alarm clock really helped last semester when I had earlier classes than my roommate. We have hardwood floors so it does shake her bed a bit, too, but for the most part it doesn't phase her at all. When the vibrating pad broke and I had to use just the alarm, it was horrible for both of us.
Great clock, I recommend to all especially those with hearing disabilities.

My son is about to go off to college and I've been trying to figure out how to be sure he gets up on his own. I have had to wake him up all through high school because he is a very heavy sleeper and he would just sleep right through other alarm clocks. Now that I have this sonic boom clock for him, he actually wakes up without me. Now if he would just get up out of the bed. He keeps hitting the snooze button, but luckily it goes off again in 9 mins and it actually wakes him up again. It is so loud that it wakes me up in the room below him. I don't know how much his roommate in college is going to like it, but they will have to work that out. It has different loudness settings and we are using the loudest right now. He could try using the vibration only which we haven't tried yet, but even that makes some noise because it does vibrate pretty strong. All-in-all, I love it. It was worth every penny.
