This alarm clock is GREAT. It's the only thing that consistently wakes my son up in the morning. The audible alarm isn't much louder than a regular alarm clock, but you can adjust the tone of the alarm to make it more or less obnoxious. The really cool part of this clock is the vibrating disk. We just put the disk inside the pillow case of my son's pillow (so he can't accidentally push it off the bed during the night), and the vibrations INSTANTLY wake him up when the alarm goes off. While the Sonic Boom Alarm Clock is effective, I will say that it's construction feels a bit cheap and I'm worried about how long it will actually last.Customer Review: Does not keep accurate time

I have it set a 12/HR 60HZ in the US and it still runs fast and time needs to manually adjusted every few weeks.
Some people may have had the clock set on the wrong HZ setting, but mine is on the correct setting and it still cannot keep time correctly. This is the only alarm clock I have that is not accurate.
It took weeks before I noticed this issue and now it's too late to return it. I will never buy another from this company.
The buzzer/vibrator is nice, but keeping time is the most basic feature of a clock that needs to work.
Waste of money unless you don't mind resetting the time every few weeks.

I bought this for my son while in High School because I couldn't wake him up in the morning.
He even slept through smoke alarms. This really helped. Though he still would sometimes sleep through the audible alarm, while it woke up the rest of the family in different rooms, the combination of audible alarm and vibration did the job. He took it to college with him and is now in his 3rd year. He still depends on it to wake him up for classes and for work during the summer. Don't know how he would get up with out it. Looking for a more feminine version for my daughter who is now in college and has slept through classes a few times.

My 18 year old son has been hard to wake for years. Now that he has a job, where he needs to be on time and get up early, I thought it would be great to use this clock as a backup to his other. Yes, he has two of these. They work, however, he's one that likes to push the snooze button...so, the second is located a few steps from his bed. He has to get up to turn off that one. It is the best alarm clock I have ever tried. Only downfall, it does go on forever and when he's not home, I have to go and turn it off. It's a must try - the flashing lights, noisy alarm and buzzer under the mattress are all worth it!Customer Review: Alarm clock could wake the DEAD!!

I'm in medical school, and there are several nights a month when I sleep for 3 hours or less. Prior to purchasing this alarm clock, I would often oversleep or fail to wake up from a nap, even with an incredibly loud phone alarm going off. I must have silenced it while mostly asleep.
Now, however, I ALWAYS wake up when the bed vibratory mechanism (which I place under my pillow) goes off. Its vibrations are so strong that I don't even need the sound to be turned on. I will never go another day without this alarm clock, which is perfect for anyone who has trouble waking up on only a few hours of sleep.
