Customer Review: Couldn't Survive Without It!

I've used the Sound Oasis system for many years as I am married to a snorer...and not just a regular snorer - an earth-shattering, shake the bed type of snorer. We finally had to move him to the next room in order for either of us to get any sleep. I found that without the Sound Oasis, I still would not be getting any sleep. By personal choice, I only use the white noise setting, as the others (rain, stream, ocean, etc.) are more intermittent, and don't seem to do the trick for me. I've not purchased or tried any of the additional sound cards for this reason. I love that the volume control is adjustable, from very soft to very loud, for those times where more is needed.
It's very simple to use, and you can choose whether to keep it going for a set amount of time (ie. until you fall asleep), or the entire night (my choice). I've had a couple of small glitches with it over the past 5 years of owning this particular unit, but they have been seemingly power-related and have been solved by unplugging and "restarting" it - nothing long-term that I couldn't fix myself. I travel with it a couple of times a year, and have been nervous about it being damaged in luggage, etc. The unit is made of plastic which, honestly, seems sort of flimsy, but so far so good! I'm considering buying a back-up unit just in case, though. I would NOT want to find myself without it for even one night.
I would highly recommend that anyone needing to mask loud sounds to sleep, gives this a try. I believe that sound conditioners are a very personal choice, but this one works great for me.
