I came across more than one online person claiming that MSM in soap bars and creams helped their skin rebound after weight loss. As someone who is restarting a diet (after losing 32 pounds and maintaining for more than a year), I want to see if it helps with elasticity issues (anyone who has lost a lot of weight knows what I mean...that stretched out and unappealing look of skin that was expanded with fat and is deflated with fat loss). I'll update if I notice improvements by next year (by which time I hope to be down anothe 32 lbs).
I do find that it has a nice absorbent, creamy, moisturizing quality. I use it on upper arms, belly, bosom and thighs (I use fragrance free sensitive skin moisturizers elsewhere, except feet, where I like to use perfumed lotions). It absorbs fast and leaves skin nicely soft. Not greasy at all. If it gets in the bloodstream and helps joints, all the better. (I will be starting to take the MSM powder for my aging knees and ankle joints which often hurt after exercising).
The scent is light to medium-light (not heavy or annoying) and is herbally (probably from the chamomile extract and rosemary leaf oil.
So far, I'd say this is another quality product from Source Naturals. If it does half of what I hear about it, I'll be happy--but especially if it helps my skin's elasticity and health. The price here with S&S is very, very good and this two-pack is convenient.
I want to thank the other reviewer for posting about the eyebrow hair-regrow use. I'm going to start trying it for that (if my facial skin can tolerate it, as I do have a supersensitive face with dermatitis/eczema issues). I also have thinning eyebrows since perimenopause and then menopause hit. They've definitely gotten a bit "bald" with age. So, thanks for that tip.

UPDATE: The advice for eyebrows is correct. Mine are filling out in the bald spots. :) Now, I also started taking Biotin with this cream, so it may be synergistic, but I had taken Biotin alone in the past and it alone didn't have the effect on eyebrows this combo does. So, whether it's the both combined or principally the MSM cream, dunno. I use a Q-tip to apply. I have had to pluck a bit more. :D
I can't tell yet if it is having any good effect on skin elasticity, but I'm continuing with it. I had to discontinue oral MSM due to an allergic rash reaction, but the cream isn't affecting my sensitive system/skin, so I hope it will have good long-term use effects. I did start using a sage and MSM powder mix on my scalp where my hair is thinning a bit post-menopausally, and I hope that since I can't take it internally, that application pre-shampooing will be efficacious.
