Ok so I broke my leg and was on crutches for 6 weeks, and the crutches were hurting after the 1st week. I found these and thought that surely they will help a little. WOW !! these were a dream come true !! I slipped these on over the pads on the crutches with No problem. they stay on the crutches very well! instructions say they can be cooled or heated, however i found that without doing anything they have a somewhat cool feel to them. I had no issues with "slipping" at all! All irritation and soreness was gone, I did not use the crutches with them jammed up in my armpit as that would be incorrect usage. the only regret i have is that i did not order the hand pads. i ended up with calluses on the palms of my hands from the standard crutches hand pads. if you are on crutches or think there will ever be a possibility of being on them then get a set of these they are life savers !!! I really think that these should be Standard Issue on ALL Crutches!! I wish they were more readily available so more people could en joy the benefits, as i could ONLY find them online.

Elasto-gel assures that the arm pads and hand grips (sold separately) retain their shape and effectiveness. Crutch-Mate pads and grips(sold separately) will help prevent friction, reduce the chance of skin breakdown and provide long lasting comfort.
