I've owned many tongue cleaners before, and I will do some comparisons to other products I've used before.
First off, I've used the Dr. Wieder's Original Tung-Brush with Free Gel Sample - 1 ea for many years before.
The Tung-Brush
- Cleans deep
- Cleans well with the tongue gel
- But however can cause bleeding from too much pressure
Steel Tongue Cleaner
- Doesn't clean as deep
- Cleans and covers a larger surface area
- Doesn't cause bleeding because of the scrape forward motion
- Doesn't require a brush or back and forth motion, just an easy pulling motion
Secondly, I've also used the tongue cleaner that you find everywhere in Wallgreens, Target, and Walmart DenTek Breath Remedy, Comfort Clean, Tongue Cleaner 1 ea
Dentek
- Rubber is comfortable, but doesn't clean as well
- Triangular gap doesn't really contribute much to comfort or cleaning quality
- Flexible and can reach the back of the tongue
Steel Tongue Cleaner
- Steel is surprising comfortable, and can scrap off surprising well
- Simple design cleans and covers more tongue surface
- Is very flexible, and can manipulate the steel however way desired
Overall, The Stainless Steel Tongue Cleaner is very efficient and dependable. Even though it doesn't clean as deep as I would want, it does a great job scraping a lot off and keeping bacteria minimized until the next visit to the bathroom sink.
The Stainless Steel Tongue Cleaner could perhaps be used with another tongue cleaner, so that you could have a better tongue cleaning routine. I say buy with confidence!
