I purchased this for my elderly mother who fell out of bed. It works well,the only thing is you only get one so you have to order two,one for each side of the bed.If your bed is against the wall on one side you will be okay ordering just one. My Mom cannot pull the bed out away from the wall to make her bed so we needed two. It was easy to install and it also makes it nice when she gets out of bed to grip the top rail to help pull herself up. I would recommend this product.Customer Review: Great for Peace of Mind

My husband is a very active sleeper. He often acts out his dreams. This sometimes results in him falling or leaping out of bed. Needless to say my own sleep is fitful because I worry about him doing this. This little bedrail is a godsend. It is attractive and does not look like a standard bedrail and yet it does its job very well. I have had many peaceful nights of sleep since purchasing this. This item was $60 cheaper on amazon than on the handicapped or senior specialty stores.
This was out of the box and installed completely within minutes. My wife has left sided weakness due to strokes, and was able to adjust herself while laying in the bed and pull herself up to a seated position, no problem.
Also the hand grip is comfortable in her hands, and the pouch is handy as well.

My husband broke his back during a dog attack and needs help getting up from bed. This fits under the mattress and attaches to the opposite side bed rail. It is very stable and well made. The grips are padded. It is small in size and still allows others to help the bedridden because it is not bulky and oversized. Perfect for our needs. The bed rail was perfect for my ailing mother. She was able to sit on the edge of the bed without help from anyone. The removeable handle came in REAL handy when the ambulance crew had to get her. It's easy to remove the organizer if you choose not to use it as did my mother. Depending on the bed, installation of the unit is easier with the aid of another person to lift the mattress.
