and the company's description is perfect and easy to understand so that when you place your order, you fully know what to expect. I ordered this item for my dad who is suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and we became worried about his falling out of bed. As always, I turned immediately to amazon.com and after some perusing and lots of reading, I didn't hesitate to place my order for this product. Also, and as usual, amazon.com offered this product at the best price.
It's wonderful, convenient and keeps dad safe...what more could we ask for....Susan

Though I still sleep with one eye open, it much more restful know that Mommy won't fall out of the bed at might.
She is only 4"9 so we haven't needed to open it any farther yet. She likes it because it still gives her mobility
at night and folds down during the day, just as advertised. Thanks agains for the consideration of seniors. At 86
they are not going to do anything new, only what they have always done!! Be as Independent as possible!!!

I put two of these on my Leggett & Platt adjustable bed which has only gliders under the frame. One on the Head riser and the other on the foot riser. My mattress was only 10 inches off the floor so the rail would contact the floor before folding down. I raised the pivot point 4 inches and moved the cross bar under the mattress closer to the pivot point to avoid the vibrator pads. since I located them so one of the L shapped tube was over the vibrator pad, I cut 4-1/4 inches off the end. We use this bed rail for my 92 year old mother. It folds down away from the bed when she needs to get out and it extends in width to provide more protection from falling out of bed. Very easy to install. for left or right side of the bed, only 2 screws the change for left or right side use.
I gave this 4 instead of a 5 because it would help to expand longer and sometimes the covers get caught when folding the rail back up and you can not lock it in place again until you move the covers out of the way.

My mother was issued a hospital bed to prevent her from falling. The bed was so uncomfortable that it was hard for her to sleep and the railing was unsafe. I had the bed removed and purchased a new full size bed and the EZ Adjust Bed Rail to insert under the bedding. This was absolutely perfect! She is comfortable, the rails are easily adjustable and does not prohibit her movement. Perfect for a senior citizen who needs the safety of a rail, but the comfort of a good night's sleep.
