Customer Review: NU-STEVIA brand tastes better

I think NU-STEVIA tastes better. Of course, preferences/tastes are very individual. I don't even like stevia that much (it has to be used in small quantities or it has a bitter after-taste in my experience, very easy to over-do), but I think NU-STEVIA is less bitter and tastes better than this brand (STEVITA) - I'm not even going to finish it. I haven't tried the liquid. XLITOL is the closest to sugar, in my opinon, and *NOTHING* will ever taste as good as sugar/honey - by it's very nature, sugar is a drug, creating a euphoric high (and subsequent crash), but XLITOL has the closest flavor to sugar - and one can bake with it. I have even made home-made ice cream with XLITOL. Stevia is very sweet and can be added with other sweeteners in small quanities to enhance the sweetness of baked goods and blended drinks.Customer Review: Need some getting used to

Hi,
I've bought this item trying to eliminate sugar from my diet and opt for something healthier. So far I've only used it to sweeten my tea but I notice I prefer a little bit of honey instead of Stevia. I'm going to keep trying it though on other things and see how it goes. I haven't read experiences of people making the switch from sugar to stevia, but I guess what I'm experiencing is normal until I get used to it.
I'll keep you all posted on how it goes. I'm hoping I can use stevia from now on instead of sugar.

I have known how devasttating suger is to the body. it is a killer & when we found Stevia we were delighted. it is a wonderful product & we have used it for years. I can find no bad reviews on the product. I only wish others realized how better they would be if they incorporated Stevia into their food. we never know the difference by the taste. how sad that we explose our children to something that has been proven to destroy their teeth & feed their alliments.

I've heard so many wonderful things about Stevia, that when I first tasted this product, I was surprised and dismayed. I tasted just like, no, worse than, saccharin. It was bitter and the after-taste lingered for more than 24 hours. I was unable to return it because I had opened it. After some research, I found out that only the LIQUID Stevia is pure and tastes like sugar. Please don't order this stuff. It tastes beyond bad.Customer Review: Best tasting stevia

I've tried other brands of stevia and they were NASTY!! I think all stevia is at least a little bitter, but Stevita is the least bitter. I only use it in my oatmeal and in my tea and it works well for those. I tried to use it in lemonade a couple of times, but it was just a little too bitter for my taste.
