Customer Review: Best Stevia product so far....

Let's face it -- it takes effort to get used to stevia. There is a learning curve for your taste buds to get used to it because it just isn't sugar! For this reason I've never gotten to the point that I could tolerate stevia -- that is, until trying Stevita.
I'd say that by far this product is the best stevia product I've had. It has the least aftertaste and best overall sweetness. Once I got used to stevia (with Stevita) I went back and tried some of the other brands and found that I still didn't like them.
As of now I've used about 500 packets, mostly in tea without milk. I find it a perfect replacement for Splenda in tea, but still it took me a few weeks to get to this point. Even though Stevita is a pretty good stevia product, I still had to get my taste buds to the point that they were happy to have it. I did this by starting out with half Stevita and half Splenda in my tea. Then after a week or so I switched to full-on Stevita and haven't looked back since.
I'm still not crazy about Stevita in coffee, but I think that it's just a matter of time before I like it as well. Well at least I hope so.

I was an Equal user, then I switched to Splenda, then Truvia, and now I have been converted to Stevita. I am very surprised with how sweet this product is. I can use exactly 1/2 the amount of Stevita as I did Truvia. The taste to me is similar to Equal which I was a big fan of until Splenda touted the tastes like sugar made from sugar slogan. As I become increasingly more concerned with my health, my diet and the amount of chemicals/preservatives in foods, I have tried to get to as natural a food source as possible without sacrificing tastes. I find that this product brings me as close to a natural sweetener as I can get without impacting my blood sugar. I like that the price on Amazon is much cheaper than Truvia is at my local grocery. I find the price reasonable for the sweetening power it possesses. I use less of it than other brands and I did not experience any disagreeable after taste. All and all, I am glad I tried it. To put my rating in perspective, I would rate Truvia 3 stars (hard to dissolved, have to use too much, funny aftertaste) and I have given Stevita 5 stars (cheaper, sweeter, no aftertaste).Customer Review: Not the best Stevia option

I have liked using Stevia to sweeten my Iced Tea for a while now. I have been very happy with other brands in the past and thought I would try this from Amazon since it was on sale and for the convenience of having it shipped right to me. I have to say I was very disappointed. I have tried many different sweeteners, Pink, Blue and Yellow, and have never had a bad taste from either, so I am not that sensitive. I decided a while ago to switch over to Stevia because it is supposed to be more natural and there are so many freak stories about the other less natural sweeteners. I have been very happy with Members Mark Stevia from Sam's Club, and have also like Sun Crystals which is a low calorie combination of Stevia and Sugar. Of all the brands and types of sweeteners I have tried, this Stevita was the first one I have had to throw out because no matter how hard I try... I just can't stand the bitter chemical taste. I kept trying to like it, but just can't do it. I do find it weird how different people tend to react to the different brands, but this one definitely is not for me.Customer Review: A great alternative to all other sweetners.

Years ago, before you could buy Stevia in the states (the sugar lobbyists kept it out of America for many years) I ordered a bunch from South America and we would order it in raw form, funny now that i think of it. It was to sweet and hard to control portions I couldn't use it. In packets it's wonderful. Of course I hear people complain about it having a slight taste of something else, and quit using it. I use it because it is better for me then either Equal or the Spelenda. Both of them leave an after taste you have to get used to. I would love to just use sugar, but I have to watch my sugar intake, and this is just the ticket. I gave it 5 stars, I take it for different reasons then other people. I would rather have a little taste of liquorish in my coffee, then dry mouth with Equal or Spelenda. It only takes a week or so to get accustomed to this, so it's a 5 star in my book. I had to get used to Equal, so what is the difference? It's a natural product, no warnings on the box, tastes good, low carbs, it is well worth getting your taste buds used to this stuff.Customer Review: Best Stevia product I've tried so far, but still not for everything...

This is the best Stevia product I've tried so far (much superior to the Sun Crystals, which had a much more bitter aftertaste, in my opinion). I really, really want to like Stevia. There are apparently no health risks, it's much sweeter than sugar, all natural (just Stevia and xylitol from the birch tree) and in the case of Stevita Supreme, it's much cheaper than Splenda or Equal (at least on Amazon). The problem is that, with some beverages, the bitter stevia aftertaste still comes through. I can't really taste it when I'm using it to sweeten punch or sprinkle it on fruit, but in coffee and tea it's definitely there. It's not so bad that it makes in undrinkable, but it's certainly something that you should be aware of before purchasing it. Then again, all artificial sweeteners seem to have an aftertaste, and I prefer Stevia's herbal bitterness (when detectable) to aspartame's artificial tang. For the price, Stevita Supreme is worth a shot. It might not be your cup of tea, but this is a worthwhile sweetener and the best Stevia product that I've used to date.
