We had success with my 5 1/2 year old with the Thumb Guard in less than 30 days. Just like the product says, your child needs to want to stop sucking their thumb!! I'd say her attitude and desire to stop made a difference just like it would with any problem a child is having. Consistency in use was also important - we did it every day all day and night. We simply changed the bracelet once a day, washed out the Thumb Guard, washed her thumb well, and then strapped it back on right away again.Customer Review: A miracle

My son is 6 1/2 and has been sucking his thumb since he was born. We tried everything and nothing worked. Within 2 days of wearing it only at night, we saw a difference, even his teacher called to ask how we managed to stop his habit. He just finished using the last band last week and he has not sucked his thumb since! I even go in his room at night to see if he does it in his sleep and so far he doesn't! This was worth every penny....he couldn't be happier and more proud of himself.

We were happy to find a product that would help our daughter with her long standing habit of thumb sucking, however, this product did not prove to be the right one. We were very disappointed that she can take off the guard without a lot of effort. This was a very expensive item. She was excited about it the first day and then after a few short hours she took it off by tugging only a small amount. This product saved us from putting our child through having a dental cage cemented into his mouth (plus lots of money)! He stopped sucking his thumb on his own, but conscientiously sucked it while sleeping and there's no chart in the world that can help that. This product did. He loves to pick out the color, snap it closed and he even cuts it off with his safety scissors in the morning. Wonderful product.Customer Review: Stop Thumb Sucking

I am guardian for two children 4 & 7. This product help channel the need to sooth themself by thumb sucking and learning more appropiate ways to seek attention which they so much needed. Both children have worn this product and have achieved the goal of not thumbsucking & are now both big girls and have moved on to more age appropiate things. They are very proud of their achievements and so am I!!!!!
