I have never been a morning person and as I get older it's just getting worse for me. I generally get too little sleep and feel terrible in the mornings and usually also hit a down turn in the middle of the afternoon. A coworker shared some 5 Hour Energy with me one day, which helped, but I didn't like the cost or the taste. When searching for a lower price on Amazon, I came across this product. It tastes MUCH better and is less than half the price per serving. I also find that it works better for me - perhaps because of the particular blend of B vitamins. I mix it in my morning protein shakes and often just with water if I get overly sleepy in the afternoon. It's very easy to take with you and if you travel, you can take it on a plane without it having to go into your plastic baggy of liquids.
I have tried the other Super C products since - Sleep and Slender. I like Sleep when I am having insomnia issues. The flavor is actually my favorite of the three - a very light citrus-mint. Don't take it too late or you might be even groggier in the morning (due to the melatonin). I'm not a fan of the Slender variety though. It doesn't dissolve well due to the fiber additive and the flavor is just a bit off.

I love this product. I'm a medical student and this is great when I don't have enough time to get my eight hours of sleep in a night. I've tried quite a few different things, but this definitely has made me feel the best. You might want this additional information.

The functional levels in all SUPER C products are determined by cooperative process between our food scientists and with Dr. Marcus Elliott & our Scientific Advisory Board. We do not "mega-load" and ingredients as some other products do.
In SUPER C ENERGY - the caffeine content is all natural from a proprietary blend of 2 botanical sources intended to provide gentle but effective stimulation and energy: 50mg from organic green tea and 49mg from imported Italian coffee beans, for a total of approx 99 mg per stick pack (in 16 fluid ounces in water). The caffeine additionally balanced by L-Theanine amino acid to aid in focus and help eliminate the "jitters" and "crash" sometimes associated with many caffeinated products.

I purchased this product solely for adding to fruit smoothies, although that is not specifically advertised as an potential application on the side packaging.
How I use it:
1 serving (1 packet) Super C Energy with:
6-8 oz. (reg./low-fat/skim)milk
8 oz. (1 cup) frozen blueberries
4 oz. (1/2 cup) frozen strawberries
1 serving (usually one scoop) protein powder - I use hemp
As described, it is pretty versatile and can easily stand as a meal - I primarily use it for breakfast or sometimes after an afternoon workout. I've never used it in water alone, nor do I intend to, so I can not comment on that aspect of the product. However, in my particular usage, it adds a significant energy boost to a smoothie that would not normally be present.
It's also significantly cheaper than say, a 5-hour energy which normally retail for around $2.49.
Customer Review: Right Price to Get My Daily "Fix"

Coffee makes me sick to my stomach, and sodas and energy drinks have WAY too much sugar and/or artificial sweeteners. I had been using energy shots like 5-Hour Energy, Tweaker, NOS Energy Shots, etc. in a bottle of water or Powerade to give me that caffeine kick (and diluting it that way keeps them from giving the jitters or a crash), but it was getting far too expensive for daily use. I got these because they are far cheaper per unit, and they are well worth the price. They give as much of an energy boost as any other product I've tried, and I can use it daily. The taste is okay but can be a little strong, even though I use it in a larger bottle than recommended.
Cost is really the only thing that sets this apart from other energy products, so if that is your motivation, then this may be the product for you.

I take Lunesta at night and can feel a bit drowsy the next day mid morning. I don't drink coffee, and i don't want a Coke in the morning, so i drink some Super C energy, and it immediately knocks out the drowsiness. Taste is perfectly fine, and i don't usually like sugar free drinks. The fact that product has zero calories in water and doesn't do anything other than wake me up, contribute to hydration and tastes good makes the product perfect...and it's a great value. i think it costs me and my insurance company about $3 per night to go to sleep, but it only costs about 50 cents a morning to truly wake up. i should really try super c sleep for my sleep issues (and reduce health care costs), but i don't want to mess with a program that is working for me now.
