I needed to find a chin strap that would really hold my mouth closed during the night, since I have no control over what my lower jaw does when I'm sleeping, and I've been diagnosed with sleep apnea. This product was advertised online as "stable," and it was touted for "its ability to keep the mouth closed." Just what I need, I thought. Not so! Once the strap arrived it proved to be made of VERY STRETCHY elastic--and, thus, utterly useless to me. The trouble is, you don't find out that it's very stretchy until you open the manufacturer's sealed packaging (you can't see that it's stretchy through the cellophane/plastic wrap). And the perfect catch-22: once you've opened the packaging, the seller says, FDA regulations prevent the return of the item!! The full cost, plus the shipping, down the drain for me. I don't think the product is properly advertised: the description should state clearly that the strap is made of a very stretchy elastic.
