i read a lot of negative things about this fabric shaver...but i had no problems with it. my couch was pilling really bad so i needed a heavy duty shaver. this one worked great. since it plugs in instead of using batteries...the power was great and consistent the whole time. the only negative was that it took a loooong time to do the entire couch. but i guess if it had taken off layers any bigger there would have been holes in the couch :). overall...im happy with it!
