Customer Review: All-in-one??? Maybe if it did more...
Summary: 2 Stars

Those silly marketing guys... "all-in-one"
1. Sprays a wonderful smelling liquid that leaves streaks on dark tiles.
2. Pushes dirt around requiring you to vacuum or sweep first
3. Pads are one time use and it would be cheaper and greener if they were washable.
4. Pads are pretty pricey
5. The solution smells good.
6. Mops floors (but not as good as a traditional mop)

That's 6 things in one!!!!!!!!!! That's an all-in-one!!!!

Once I returned it to Wally World (Wal-mart for those who haven't heard of the Wally), I purchased the Bissell flip-ease. A little more pricey, but it vacuums on one side, sprays fluid on the other and has absorbant microfiber pads that are washable/reusable. Check out my other post on that one.

Customer Review: Flawed design, I'm giving up mine
Summary: 1 Stars

Use the power-less Swiffer w/ wet wipes instead if you must. This one has a lot of design flaws:

1) It leaks (let it be upright or downright) over time.
2) Its solution is both expensive & too toxic (strong & artificial).
3) Its pad does NOT pick up too much dirt, seems to be saturated all too soon & prematurely.
4) Its scratch pad seems to be too weak to scrape off settled dirt even w/ the help of your feet like its manual suggests.
5) Its spray is all over the places, including your wall.

Only good thing is that its nozzle hasn't clogged over time.

Customer Review: quick mop
Summary: 4 Stars

I had this product before and I loved it for quick pick up jobs. No need to drag out mop and bucket. This is so easy to use and picks up spills in a flash. I love it.

Customer Review: Nice for small area cleaning
Summary: 4 Stars

The Wet Jet is a nice idea which could be improved upon, but currently, we must take it as it is. And that's not all bad.

The good points are it's initial low cost, ease of use, and effectiveness.

First, and foremost, it cleans well. The solution/pads do a good job of picking up dirt, at least as well as a clean sponge mop (and do we all keep them as clean as we should?), but I would rate it a bit better.

Second, it's easy to do. There's no mixing solutions, dragging around a bucket, etc. Cleanup is simply throwing away the pad. The unit is lightweight, and easy to use in tight areas (like around toilets). Time wise, it cuts mine in half.

Third, it's not too expensive at initial cost, nor, do I feel, in after costs. My requirements are to clean two modest sized bathroom floors and a small kitchen floor. With reasonable use of the solution, I figure my cost for replacement pads and solution at about 75 cents each time I clean these areas together. Keep in mind that the solution that comes with the kit only has about half what the replacement bottles contain, so adjust your cost figures accordingly. I do, however, see how on larger jobs, the cost might add up.

OK, there are some things that I didn't like. The battery door latch broke as I was installing the initial set of batteries. Did I break it or was it weak? I don't know, but I'm pretty good at installing batteries in most things. The flexibility at the neck could be stiffened. I like the range of movement, but if stiffer, I think it would allow you to put down a little more effective downward pressure to clean trouble spots. This weakness makes the scrubbing pad on the end next to worthless.

Yes, there are things to improve, but for my type of cleaning jobs, it definately beats the mop and bucket.

Customer Review: Good for quick clean-ups, but not a full-time replacement
Summary: 4 Stars

My Swiffer mop is great for quick kitchen clean-ups and spills. But I wouldn't throw out the good 'ole sponge mop for the deep cleaning scrubbing and heavy-duty needs. So disregard the catchy TV commercials where the "old style" mop is stalking the house to the tune of "Baby Come Back." If you want quick spill cleans, Swiffer is great. But I'm hanging onto my Johnson & Johnson mop and my Mop&Glow as well. One warning: be sure to wipe up the self-ejecting cleaner fluid well. It can be pretty slippery if left on the floor.
