I rarely bother to write reviews, but my experience with Thumper Massage has been so disappointing that I thought I should write and warn prospective customers what to expect. The product itself is great -- considerably better than anything else on the market. But they break, especially the Versa-Pro and Mini-Pro, and when they do you'll discover that Thumper Massage simply doesn't stand behind them. While there is a two year warranty on the product, in order to have it repaired you'll need to pay the international shipping charges both to and from Canada. This is not what I expected when I purchased the product: every other time I've needed to do a warranty claim with a company, I've paid to ship the unit in for repair and they pay to ship it back. But Thumper Massage apparently refuses to do this under any circumstances. Recently I purchased a unit that failed in less than two months and approximately a dozen uses. Nonetheless, they refused to budge and the shipping costs alone were sixty dollars -- approximately one-third of what I paid to purchase the unit just two months earlier. Worse, before they even examined the unit they suggested the failure was probably due to user error rather than a manufacturing defect and suggested I should be grateful for their willingness to not charge me for the repair as well. In addition, when I asked about another unit that had failed outside the warranty, the estimated cost to repair the unit was only slightly less than what it would cost for a new one -- and there appears to be no warranty of any kind offered on such repairs. My advice would be to write to them before you buy and ask about how they handle warranty claims: I think you'll find their policies are very different from what you would expect.
