We purchased this scale in August of 2009, it worked really well and told pretty accurate fat and water content in your body.
In March 2010 it started acting funky, we thought it was just the batteries. We have replaced the batteries 5 times in the last few months and today, almost one year and a week after buying this, the scale is completely dead. Even with new batteries and reseting, the screen only reads "Error".
It's a good product when it is functioning, but it DOES NOT LAST!

I won't restate all the obvious facts that are listed. I would just like to say that Taylor has the best WARRANTY. They stand behind their products. I had another scale before this one, approximately 5 YEARS after i got it the scale started acting up, i called them and they checked a couple things and then immediately sent me a new scale. They stand behind their products forever ..... hard to go wrong with a company like this ... especially given all the options and the value you get with their scales.Customer Review: Works for me

I've been using this scale (Taylor 5599) for about 4 months and, so far, had no problems. I bought it new and the readings for weight and body fat seem to be about right. I would buy it again with no hesitation from my experience over the last few months. The scale was set up for myself and another user with ease. The manual is adequate but a little more information would be nice especially on the bone mass readings and their accuracy/usefulness particularly in (us) seniors. This thing thinks my body fat percentage is 57%! For those who don't know what that means, if one was 57% body fat, they'd be lucky to leave the house at all. I'm working out 5 times a week, and bought this scale thinking it would be cool to see the fat %. Not onyl was the percentage way off, but the variance was unacceptable. I found the weight variance to be off as well.
Overall a disappointing purchase. Thank goodness for Amazon's return policy.

When I first received this scale, it worked great and I was super excited! Then shortly after, the scale began to become inaccurate, not only in the body fat percentage, but also the weight! The scale would add anywhere between 5 and 10 pounds without even stepping on it! I have had this scale for 4 months now and have not been able to get it back to being accurate yet. If anyone has any tips or is having the same problem, some insight would be greatly appreciated.
