I'm finally fed up with this scale for good because I am on a diet for the first time in my life after having a baby and really need to have accurate results. This scale can literally give you results 5 or more pounds off within minutes and NOT moving the scale at all. It often errors too, with a big ERR on the screen. I would definitely not recommend this one to someone who needs to track their weight loss. I'm getting ready to buy the Lifesource Precision as that one seemed to get top reviews.Customer Review: Never consistent, don't waste your money!

I've owned this scale for about 2 years and wondered why I would get 3 different weights each time I weighed myself. I'd pick the middle one. It also weighs me 3-5 pounds less than at my doctor's office, and it is tiny! It's gotten worse the longer I've owned it. I'm reasearching other scales and see that there are problems with many, if not most, home scales. Maybe I'll just need to stop by my doctor's office when I'm interested in my weight. Or just gauge my weight by how I fit in my clothes.Customer Review: Taylor 7009

PROS: The scale's very acurate. I have compared it to the scales at my doctor several times. I'm pregnant and go to the doctor at least once a month and wanted to keep an eye on my pregnancy weight gain at home as well. The doctor's weigh you on several different scales and everytime the Taylor 7009 says the same thing as the doctor's sclaes. I've had no problems with it at all. It's compact..very thin. Not expensive at all. I've compared prices too!

I understand that nothing (especially technology) lasts forever, but this scale had problems within 9 months of purchase. I thought it was the battery, so I bought a new battery for it. It seemed to work okay for a bit, then it started giving strange numbers, and now it constantly gives an error message.
I don't expect it to last forever, but my last scale under $30 lasted eight years. I'd have liked to get at least a few years of use out of it. I wouldn't buy a Taylor again.

Good stuff! You just take it out of it's box, put it on the floor, stand on it, and there you go! When I first purchased it, I was worried that it would take a whole lot of manipulation to get it working, like just about all electronics these days. But I was so very pleasantly surprised when it JUST WORKED!
It's a small, simple scale that doesn't look half-bad, and it's a way that we can actually manage to use the metric system here in America. Just what I wanted. : )
