Customer Reviews of Taylor 7506 Glass and Chrome Digital ScaleCustomer Review: Disappointed Summary: 3 Stars
Weight is not dependable. At first I thought, OK from one day to the other weight can fluctuate - I want to see the trend. Today, I weight 5 pounds more than yesterday and that seems a bit much, especially considering what I was (or was not eating). Some small variation I can take, but really 5 pounds.
The scale is left against a wall and I pull it out about 6 inches to weight myself. It's not perfectly in the same spot, but it is within a few inches every day. It seems to have a memory so if you weigh yourself again soon it jumps to the same weight. I have weighed again maybe a half hour or so later and seen differences, but 5 pounds. I'm wondering if it's too late to return and will check.
Good luck.
Tom
Customer Review: what a disappointment Summary: 1 Stars
The scale looks great, but unfortunately, it holds 4.4 pounds at all times. In other words, when I get on the scale and then off, 4.4 lbs remain in the window. Guess that's not so bad, I just subtract that from the weight in the window, but how can I be sure if that is an accurate weight?? I looked up and read about Taylor scales thru various sources and they were always the highest rated in comparisons...and of course, Amazon always has the best prices. The scale seemed to be working for the 1st two weeks after purchase (4.4 lbs did not appear), however, when I was heavier than on my old scales I asssumed it was because my old scales were no longer functioning properly. It is now too late to return the new scale.
Customer Review: Piece of JUNK! Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased this scale after reading numerous reviews via Amazon and Consumer Reports. Little did I know, this scale turned out to be a piece of JUNK. I purchased this scale in August (it is now currently January). For the time that it did work, it worked perfectly fine. As with all electrical items, the scale needed a new battery. After replacing the old battery with a new one, it still does not function. The digital display blinks all sorts of crazy numbers from weight being 0 to 854, etc. Needless to say, this is now useless. After browsing other negative reviews, I've decided not to waste any more time on this piece of junk (as futher action gained no results for others.) My bottom line? Do not buy.
Customer Review: Dies after 2mo. Summary: 1 Stars
Just got this thing 2mo ago on the recommendation of a comparison done on channel 12 news.. Replaced another Taylor that I've had for a long time, but only worked in 1/2lb increments and was beginning to look kind of nasty..
Got this one, looks beautiful, feels stout, and worked great; and then yesterday POOF, it just goes wacky without any sort of Trauma. Pulled battery out and jammed it back in, nothing changed. Battery was new 2mo ago - pulled the plastic tab out myself - documentation says its supposed to last a long long time..
Anyway, sometimes the numbers are all over the place, sometimes always zero and sometimes get an error.. Currently looking into how to swap it out..
Customer Review: Excellent Value - Accurate scale with a low price. Summary: 5 Stars
The Taylor 7506EXP scale is an accurate electronic strain gauge scale that produces consistent weight measurements.
I found this scale to be accurate and easy to use. The scale turns on when you tap it with your foot. It turns itself off after ten seconds of inactivity. The included lithium 3v CR2032 battery will last a long time.
The LCD panel displays the weight in 2/10 pound increments. The scale measures weight range between 35 lbs and 400 lbs (15 kg to 180 kg). You can change the display units to kilograms or pounds with a slide switch on the back of the scale.
This scale is an excellent quality scale with a low price.
