The scale was easy to set up and has large numbers on the dial face making it easy to read. I found the adjustment knob on top of the scale (to zero it) is a little tricky to turn because it is situated snugly next to where the top hook connects. The scale is a lot more accurate at weighing items under 1 LB if a weighing basket is used and the scale is then re-zeroed with the basket. I used a small plastic basket with a handle that was conveniently lying around the house. The weight indicator needle is made of a red plastic that looks like it will fade if exposed to too much sunlight, but since I don't intend to hang it outside for long periods of time, that's not a major concern for me. Overall, this is a nice product. Highly recommended for casual use and everyday weighing needs under 20 LBs.
