I bought this for mom Mom who is getting older and from time to time would have difficulty with her T.V. remote. I believe her problem would start when she would go to pick up her remote and accidently push a button that would take the remote off the T.V. mode, to some other mode like the VCR or Cable mode. Then she was unable to get it back to the T.V. And I would get a call to come fix her T.V. This remote has solved the problem. It's easy to set up, only took a minute, easy to use, and I haven't received any more calls. I would recommend this to any one in a similar situation.

I purchased the Tek Pal Remote Control for my elderly mother who lives in a nursing home. She has very low vision and mild dementia. The design of the remote makes it as easy as possible for a person like her to successfully use. The lighted buttons with the functional shapes help her to feel the differences between them and then locate the right one. The overall shape of the remote reduces the frequency of her holding it upside down as she tries to remember that the wide end needs to point toward the T.V. My family and I have been in search of an 'easy' universal remote for some time now for my Grandmother. With a few failed attempts by my Dad, I decided to go with this remote. I thought it was a great idea.
It was shipped very fast, extremely easy to program(no "codes" needed) and overall it was so affordable.
My Dad was extremely impressed when he saw it and how well it worked.
I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone that has an elderly family member - or anyone that has issues using a regular remote control.

The Tek Pal Large Button TV Remote is great! I've bought my 82 year old father tons of things (telephones, clocks, etc.) for the visually impaired, and most were just too complicated. This remote is great. It programs in a heartbeat - first time that I didn't need help from my 13 year old son to do something technical. My dad loves this and wants another for his bedroom TV! Thank you, Tek Pal, for understanding what it means to be older and have vision problems and for finding a solution. I'll buy everything you make from now on.Customer Review: Great Product

Bought this for my brother with MS as he has a hard time holding on to things and seeing the small buttons on a regular remote. We added some padding around it as he drops his remote quite often. The remotes we had gotten him in the past only lasted a few days as he would drop it and it would break or he would somehow change the settings and we would have to re-program. So far he has had it for over a week with no problems.
Hope we found something that will last longer than a few days..
