After reading the reviews I was not sure if I would like this product.For Ten Bucks I decided to try it. It is easy to use and set up.If it last it will be well worth the money.It plays a short tone each time the button is pushed before speaking the time.At first I was dissapointed but it was easy to get use to and I like not having a clock that lights up the room. We ordered the clock to replace one which had to be at least 20 years old that announced the time hourly on it's own. The old one announced the time and even though we could have called or waited for a reponse, we got one that is just an alarm clock. We contacted the company via email, and said to check their site for one - but no offer of returning this one and paying any difference.Customer Review: Very Loud Alarm Clock

I owned the previous version of this clock. The soft buttons wore out and I could no longer set the time. This version has switches that look like they will last longer. My previous clock lasted at least 10 years. This clock is also very loud. You won't sleep though this if it's set on high. A little on the large side, but the quality of this unit is great. Large contrasty button yields loud and clear readout of time. Just what the title says: It's perfect if you do not want an hourly report! You have to push the top to get it to talk. I sent it back and got a different one with an hourly report. I love that one!
