I just tried out my bedfan today, and it didn't seem to work for me. I suspect part of the problem may be my foam mattress, though, so I'm not going to totally discount it as not working.
The design is dirt-simple, especially for a $80 piece of equipment. 2 x 10watt small fans which blow air up a plastic baffle. It comes out and gets deflected forward by a crossbar (the handle-looking thing on top). I have to admit that I was disappointed in paying $80 for 2 tiny fans with a plastic guide for the airflow, when I can get a $30 fan by Lasko with far, far more power and sturdiness.
Perhaps I'm asking a lot from it, but its 10 watt dual small fans were not powerful enough for me. They definitely puffed my sheets up - you could see that there was definitely air movement under the sheets, but I found that my apt is sufficiently hot that even when I laid directly on the puffed sheets adjacent to the fan, I didn't get any cooler at all. Again, it's possible that with my foam mattress, I sank so much that the air conduction simply went around me instead of under me, so this product may work very well for others who don't have Posturpedic-type foam mattresses.
On my defense however, I cranked the Bedfan up to max setting, and aimed it straight at me, with no sheets in the way. Much better than under the sheets for me, but still too weak for me to consider it for use.
There are a lot of positive testimonials on the vendor website and I couldn't find any negatives, so I may be the outlier here, but I did expect it to work a bit better than it did for me. Product will be mailed back to the vendor.
