I too was skeptical at first and was not sure of the price. I called the people that make the Bedfan and talked to the owner. I commend them for they are trying to do as much manufacturing here in the US as possible. They have about 12 people that they employ and that is good. I read many reviews about people complaining about the price, But these guys are at least building something here in the USA. I don't think anyone complaining about the price has a clue what it cost to manufacture in the states. Maybe if we had more people like them this country would not be in the shape it is in today.
As for how well if works, well at first i was not impressed and that is one of the reasons i called them in the first place. But they walked me through the installation and i found where i had screwed up. It is easy to do it wrong and easy to do it right. If you find that it is not keeping you cooler at first, like i did, you need to call them. It freezes me out now, and to be honest with you I cant sleep without it any longer.
This is a wonderful product that is simple, it works, and the majority of it is mad here in the USA, what more could you ask for. I know some of you want to pay 30 dollars for it.. but I think we need to support American products as much as we can. Sure they could have it made in China like 90% of all other products, but like they said, they have 12 other families to think about. Not just their own. Thank you Bedfan, I am sleeping better now.

I have been having problems with waking up in the middle of the night because i am hot, getting up to cool off and then trying to go back to sleep. This fan has been a Godsend for me. My first instinct is to turn the fan on high so you can see the air moving under the blankets and feel it on your skin but it worked better on a much lower speed with a gentle whisper of a breeze blowing on your feet.
The fan is much quieter than a typical fan we have blowing in our room. I have been keeping the room at 62 degrees to be able to sleep in the winter and now i am comfortably sleeping in a 78 degree room without overheating at all.
It took a couple of tries to get it installed on our bed correctly because we have a high mattress with a wooden footboard on the bottom of the bed. But now that i have it working properly i can't imagine trying to sleep without it.
Yes the design is simple but that is the beauty of the Bedfan. Thank you for creating a product that works so well, and thank you for building it in the USA instead of trying to find cheaper labor in another country. I will pay a little more to keep the American dream alive and to help myself sleep better in the process

I wish that I had known about this years ago. It works great! It was easy to put together. It has a booklet and an easy start guide. The fan intensity control button is wonderful because you can adjust it to barely blowing, up to a real blast. You just undo your top sheet, push it up to the bed, adhere the top via the attached Velcro, tuck your sheet back in and your ready to go (I did not even need to use the foam blocks it comes with). The booklet tells you that you need to have good quality sheets (400 thread count or better) or the air will not travel all the way up your body. It also tells you that you need to position the top of the horizontal bar one to two inches above the top of the mattress. I can see how, if you do not heed their recommendations, you will not be satisfied. As for me, I have had hot flashes a long time and for the first time, I did not need a room fan on. The air coming from this (if you tuck it in right) is powerful enough that I was able to use a very low adjustment. Very worthwhile investment in peaceful sleep!Customer Review: Bedfan worked for me

I haven't had a night in years that I haven't gotten up at least once because I was too hot and sweaty. After trying many different ways to deal with the problem, this did the trick for me. I've slept through the last few nights.
I would have rated it higher, but I have to admit that it was louder than I expected, that may be because it is sitting on a bare wooden floor. If you don't like the foot of your bed tucked in tight, or if you sleep on top the sheets, this fan is not for you. But otherwise.. it's great.

The Bedfan is a ..breeze.. to install. It's very quiet, you can hear it little if it's on full blast but I doubt anyone turns it that high because they'd freeze! I highly recommend this product. Go to [...] and watch the video they have. I'm planning to buy another one for my guestroom.
