I got this several months ago. I have permanently left it in the kitchen, to help me read while I am eating. It works fantastically well for magazines, less well (but still usefully) for books. Small paperbacks are a bit of a challenge, as you have to jiggle the ends in order to push them inward to hold the book. I have been too lazy to put on the straws, which other reviewers have suggested, and would very likely work. Still I am very pleased with this cheap and very portable product, and would recommend it.
