Customer Reviews of The Easi-Reader Bookstand

Customer Review: Great stocking stuffer
Summary: 5 Stars

Unlike the first review of this product, I have found it to be great to take with me whenever I go out to eat. It folds down easily and fits in my purse. I read both paperbacks and hardbacks using the Easi-Reader and have had few problems with it. The only times it seems to slip is when you are just starting or ending a book and most of the pages are on one side of the holder. I always have people coming up to me at my table asking about the holder and I give it a glowing recommendation. I tell them how to track it down on the internet and have no idea how many I have sold for the company. I have orderded more than 20 myself and have given many of them as Christmas stocking stuffers. I also have given many to people who work at the restaurants I frequent as they have asked about the holder and I have used them as tips sometimes. I'm sorry the other reviewer did not find it to be useful but I really like it and as stated previously find it to be excellent for my purposes.

Customer Review: Outstanding tool and study aid!
Summary: 5 Stars

These book stands are durable, portable, simple and cheap. They can handle the largest, heaviest medical textbooks I had to study in school, and could also handle tall, softcover "workbooks" that I had in many of my classes. Some trade paperbacks were also workable. I bought several of these when I returned to school for 4 years, along with an Ergodesk Classic Slanted Reading Desk, and a "full-spectrum" reading lamp. I also brought the book stands to class. Anywhere you are going to be reading, they make studying easier and more efficient, and there is less of a strain on your neck from hunching over a book resting flat on the table.
Page-turning is easy and quick to master. I cannot overstate how much these little stands helped me with my study load by freeing up my hands and taking the strain off my neck while having to read for hours at a time. Highly recommended!

Customer Review: LOVE THIS PRODUCT (law student)
Summary: 5 Stars

Like I said in my review for the Mighty Bright bookstand, this product has a really solid stucture that you really can't tell from looking the picture. The metal parts a lot thicker than shown in the picture. I'm sure it's more solid that any of those more expensive plastic ones here on amazon.
Might bright is a great bookstand if you want to save $1 otherwise, go with the Easi-Reader (canadian buyers beware, very hard to get the latter, amazon won't ship it to Canada I had to get it from Independant Living Aids, other US based companies carry it too but shipping gets expensive- no where to be found in Canada)

Downside, it's great for large books, cookbooks, papers. But it is not built for small paperback novels. You can balance the book on it but one small movement throws everthing off.

Customer Review: simply perfect
Summary: 5 Stars

This is such a simple design, yet sturdy and well made. Kudos to whoever thought this up. Bells and whistles not necessary! It adjusts very easily to hold any size book. I have even used it with smaller paperbacks by laying another book sideways behind the one I am reading to make up for the lack of depth. The best part is being able to turn a page using one hand- I have tried another stand that required both hands when I wanted to turn a page. That was more inconvenient than just holding the book the usual way! Now I spend my lunch hour eating AND reading, not eating OR reading. If you are a voracious reader who also has to function outside of your fiction, treat yourself to an Easi-Reader.

Customer Review: Heavy metal, holds big books -- GREAT!
Summary: 5 Stars

Since college, I've used a smaller model of wire bookstand that's the most common kind. It's what you always see in office supply stores and the school supplies aisle in drug stores. The problem is that the small models won't hold big books like a programming tutorial I'm using at the moment.

However, the Easi-Reader bookstand is exactly what I needed. Its frame is large enough to accommodate almost any size of book, and it's constructed of wire thick enough to hold heavier books.

This bookstand probably isn't the best choice for smaller books. The smaller-model bookstands hold small books open better. But for big books, the Easi-Reader is terrific.
