Customer Reviews of The Original Backnobber II by The Pressure Positive CompanyCustomer Review: Trigger Points Summary: 5 Stars
I had heard of trigger points before but there seems to be some skepticism in the medical community from what I have read. For me after having severe neck pain for over a month which was unusual, I was desperately seeking an answer to the increasing pain. Even after having a C-5 through C-8 fusion 20 years ago. I usual just endured some mild arthritis conditions. Now my neck had become more painful and the doctors didn't really have an answer for me. One day as I was massaging my painful neck I reached down on upper back near the shoulder blade and pushed firmly in with my thumb. And to my surprise the pain in my neck abated suddenly, a lightbulb went off and from then on I knew there had to be remedies for this pain I was experiencing and it had to do with triggers points and dealing with other areas beside my neck for relief.
Concerning the Backnobber 2, it's very sturdy, is compact and comes apart easily but goes back together to form a very sturdy unit when using it. I am very happy with this, with its build, the ergonomics and how easy it is to maneuver almost anywhere on my back or neck. And after only having it for a day but having used it at least 1 hour total on and off and seeing the pain fade away I was very happy I bought one of these. Great design and materials.
Customer Review: BACKNOBBER II - AN ABSOLUTE LIFESAVER!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have suffered from Myofascial pain syndrome for the past year & a half. I have tried everything under the sun to get rid of this pain. From massage therapy to physiotherapy to yoga....you name it, I've tried it. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that The BK II got rid of my myofascial pain syndrome in ONE WEEK!!!
This self help tool is an absolute lifesaver. If you have any muscle related problems including your neck, back, legs, thighs, you will not be sorry when you spend $30.00 lousy dollars on this incredible device.
It also separates into two pieces for easy storage & easy traveling.
I take this device with me to work everyday & have had many, many of my co-workers and friends order a BACKNOBBER II for themselves.
I have provided every doctor, nurse, & specialist that I have come in contact with, with the BACKNOBBER II website & telephone number, so they in turn may provide some relief to future clients in need.
I can't say enough positive things about this self help tool.
Don't delay & order one today!!
An extremely satisfied & loyal customer for LIFE,

Customer Review: I Gave Mine a Nickname Summary: 4 Stars
I've found this product to be so useful, and even necessary at times, that I've grown fond of it. lol When I feel a trigger point,(muscle knot as it's also known,) in a hard to reach place, I tell my husband that I need "My Dear Friend". My husband does try to work out my "knots" himself at times, but since he's a real amateur and it's a pain to keep telling him exactly where to focus, I find that I often prefer My Dear... Dear Friend. :) I use it all over my body and don't know how I could live without it. I give it only four stars because although it can give great leverage and versatility by it's S shape I have found it at times hard to keep a good grip on it, which I didn't have a problem with when I used a massage cane because of its spikes. I prefer this, however, because the shape is more comfortable and versatile to work with.
Btw, if you're curious, we have given other items personifications and names as well. For instance, we call my body pillow Mr. Willow and have a lot of fun making him say all sorts of things. lol He's all worn-out and lumpy now, but my husband doesn't want him replaced because he'd be sad. :P lol Just felt like sharing. :)
Customer Review: Back Knobber II vs Theracane Summary: 5 Stars
I have had both the Theracane and the Original Back Knobber II for several months. Both are well made and similar in price. I bought them to try to reduce my chiropractic visits and to be more in charge of my back and neck issues.
The instructions pamphlet with the Back Knobber is a a little more complete. The device itself is easier for me to use. I can get better leverage. I like the way it comes apart for travel--I keep it at work where co-workers borrow it. The Theracane is also decent--the side knobs make for a more stable and gentle application to neck pressure points.
I figure I have already saved enough on chiropractic visits to pay for them both. Applying self pressure only works effectively with a tool such as either of these. I use the one at work when listening during an e-meeting, and the one at home during the evening news. Use of the devices is most effective during a regular relaxation time. I have also become very aware of my posture and am improving that so bad habits stop contributing to knots.
Customer Review: does the job Summary: 4 Stars
I've had chronic left upper shoulder area pain for about 4 years. I think it's from sitting at a computer and tensing up because I'm always cold. Been to the doctor a few times and they don't know what to do except recommend physical therapy. So I finally went which was a huge waste of time and money. So I just started to make my boyfriend literally pound on the areas that hurt and dig really hard but it was hurting his poor thumbs and fingers. So I did research and found the backnobber and now I can knead out these knots as hard as I want to on my own! It's not curing the issue but relieving it and I guess that is all I can ask for. My only complaint is that it's not made for small people with little ribcages because I can't do a lot of the "moves" you're supposed to be able to do with it making it a little awkward for me to actually use it. Have to use two hands.
