This an excellent tool to self massage yourself. It is very steady and very controllable. You can really reach in with it. I tried different canes and this is the best one. Buy it for yourself and your friends and they will love it!
Don't forget to buy the instructional DVD. It is really helpful in learning the proper way to use it.

The CD illustrated the various ways to use the theracane depending on which part of the body was the focus.
I believe it should have illustrated more slowly exactly how to use the cane. To review the section needed the entire CD had to be scanned. Pausing it to absorb each maneuver would have been helpful.

While not "stimulating", the video gave a good thorough lesson on how to use the Thera Cane device and was also applicable to the "Back Buddy" which is the item I actually have.
This is a must do therapy for those suffering from the many and various pains which our muscles, although healthy, can cause.

...well, I'd rather have a masseuse in house and on-demand, but the Theracane is a great substitute. I had tried using tennis balls and rolling on them, but the Theracane is not only more effective, but easier to use.
I'm going to buy some for friends with the same age related neck aches.

This Thera Cane ® Instructional DVD may help someone who have no clue how to use thera cane but thats not even basic understanding how to use it, wont recommend for $5.
May be you will see for one or two time and then u wont even remember where that DVD is...but may be that's just me.
